29. Mating

Coby's POV
I had woken up when I heard the bed creak. I was about to rip Jesse to pieces when I saw him in Nina's room this morning. I thought he wanted to sneak in to see Luna but then I saw Nina's reaction to him and I knew he was her mate. His wolf must have been drawn to her. I was pissed when he tagged along at Luna's request like her little puppy. Apparently it was for her safety like I would ever hurt her. It amazes me how Fate is constantly fucking me over. Still I'm happy for my little sister, how can I not be. He will save her when no one else could. I should be grateful to him and as much as I hate to admit it  I should be grateful to Dom too for accepting Luna as part of his pack. The fact that him and Milah were there told me they accept their union and of course I will. I was praying for a miracle and it was answered. If anyone deserves a Happily Ever After, it's Nina.
I'm at my secret spot where I go to get away from the world and think. There's a full moon tonight and my wolf is begging for a release, he feels restless with all that's gone down. I start to undress, I think I'll go for a swim instead. I strip down to my boxers and jump in. I hear someone coming and submerse myself in the water so only the top half of my head is above water and wait watching the path. I know who it is before I see her. It's Luna, what is she doing here.
She sits on the big rock I was just at and lays back staring at the moon hugging herself. I know I can't stay like this forever but I watch her a bit longer before I decide to get out the water. She looks surprised when she sees me and sits up.
"I'm sorry, I'll go" she says
"Wait, don't go" I say before I can stop myself.
She turns to face me and hesitantly sits back down on the rock. I'm waste deep and ask "come in, the water feels good"
She looks out at the water and says "It's okay"

She looks intrigued but still hesitant
"What is it?"

"Nina found her mate, or should I say he found her"
