H E stands beside Dylan as they wait for the doctor to explain what went wrong. All he knows that she was drugged with something that has to be in that piece of small cake that she had to eat because of her father insisting.
Was it her father?
If he was, he will pay. There is no way he will allow anyone to come closer to her, to hurt her. Even if he married her for the safety of his family and in a sick way of revenge for his family, she is still with him- as his wife. And no one hurt his wife.
He heard a commotion and in a few moments, her family walked in. They didn't even look concerned about her.
"She always has to cause trouble". Her stepbrother said
Her step-sister hit him, "Don't speak about her this way". She cried, "She must be in so much pain".
He grunted looking at the screen that shows she was still in the operation room.
He feels someone closer to him and the whole disgusting scent of perfume paralyses his mind. He blinks his eyes turning to look at her stepsister whose hand was placed on his chest.
"You look so tired".
There is one rule.
He immediately stepped away from her stepsister and her hand fall with a frown appearing on her face.
"Stay away from me". He said darkly while she giggles
"Why? She is not here". She suggested coming closer
He stepped to his left side making her stumble as she balances herself. He took a few steps away from her when the door opened and he runs towards the doctor.
"How is she?"
"You are her husband?" The doctor asked and he nodded, "If you will follow me to my room. I can explain it".
He walked inside the doctor room sitting on the chair.
"She was drugged". The doctor started, "She is severely allergic to anything that involves almonds in it. I think she consumed a little of it. But her allergies are harsh so it reacted quickly".
"What about now?"
"She is fine. As fine as she could be. She needs time to heal from it. The first few days will be hard. She will vomit, have a fever, rough coughs and more. It's best if she stays in hospital for a week or two".
