~2 days later~

Josie POV

Jo: "HOPE"

Hope: "Yes, love, is everything ok"

Jo: "No. Call your aunt Freya, something is happening to me"

Hope: "What's wrong?"

Jo: "Just call your aunt and tell her to get here now"

As Hope goes to call her aunt I go to find my mom, but I can't seem to find her, so I go to my dad.

Jo: "Dad, where's mom?"

Alaric: "Last I heard she was in the garden. Everything alright?"

Jo: "No, I need to go"

I go to the garden and see my mom watering plants with the lower grades

Jo: "Mom, I need to speak to you now"

Josette: "Ok, one second"

I walk over to the gate of the garden and wait for my mom.

Josette: "What do you need?"

Jo: "Look"

I show her what's wrong

Josette: "What the hell?"

Jo: "What is wrong with me?"

Josette: "I don't know, but this shouldn't be possible"

Jo: "Yes, I know that"

Josette: "I can do research to see what's happening, but there's no guarantee it'll say"

Jo: "Just try, please?"

Josette: "I will, don't worry"

Hope POV

Hope: "No, aunt Freya. I don't know what's wrong with her, she didn't tell me"

Freya: "Ok, I'll be there"

I need to go look for Josie, to see what's wrong with her. I wonder why she just didn't tell me. As I'm looking for Josie I run into her mom.

Hope: "Hey have you seen Josie?"

Josette: "Yes, she was just by the garden"

Just as I'm walking away her mom grabs my arm

Josette: "She needs you to be there for her right now more than ever.
Mentally and physically"

I just nod and go look for Jo. I look in the garden she isn't there. I go to her dads office, again not there. I even went to my and Lizzies rooms. "Where the hell is she" I say to myself. The only places I haven't checked are the woods and the old mill. I go to the woods and run to the doc. As I get there I hear a faint cry, so I listen harder. It's definitely Jo. I decide I would get to her faster if I shift, so I do. After I shift, I follow her cries and scent. I'm going so fast my eyes start to water...or maybe it's tears. After a minute of running I finally make it to her, so I shift back and run to her. She's curled into a ball by a tree not from from the old mill. I put her in my lap.

Hope: "Josie, baby, what's wrong?"

Jo: "I don't know why it's happening"

Hope: "Tell me what's happening"

Jo: "It's growing and it won't stop"

Hope: "Jo, what's growing?"

Then I look down and see her stomach growing a tiny bit each minute. I hear Jo start to hyperventilate

H: "Baby, I need you to breath"

J: "I can't"

H: "Yes, you can. Follow my
breathing, in and out. Come on, you got this"

She starts to get it and eventually her breathing evens out

Hope: "There you go. Jo?"

Jo: "Hm?"

Hope: "Why are you in the woods?"

Jo: "I was looking for you. I thought maybe you went for a run"

Hope: "I'm gonna carry you back to our room, ok?"

Jo: "Ok"

I'm walking Jo back to our room. Occasionally asking her if she's ok. When we get there I lay her on the bed and kneel on the floor.

Hope: "Does anything hurt?"

Jo: "No, it's just uncomfortable"

Hope: "I'm gonna go get you food, are you gonna be ok alone for a little bit?"

Jo: "I just ate"

Hope: "Ok. Do you need anything else?"

Jo: "Just don't leave me"

Hope: "I won't"

Jo: "Hope, I'm scared"

I wipe off her tears and kiss her forehead

Hope: "I promise you, nothing is going to happen to you or the baby"

J: "Can you hear their heartbeat?"

I close my eyes and listen hard. Then I hear it. I open my eyes and look at her shock and excitement written all over my face.

Jo: "Can you hear it"

Hope: "Them. Plural"

She looks at me shocked

Jo: "Twins?"

Hope: "Triplets"
