REGARDING CHAPTER 42:
I have been getting SEVERAL comments and direct messages concerning the last chapter of this story. I've decided to write this quick little "blurb" to answer all of the questions that are lingering through your heads.
q: IS LUKE DEAD? IS HE GOING TO BE OKAY?
a: I can tell you all that Luke is in fact not dead. I choose my words carefully whenever I write my stories and a few of you have caught an important one: ATTEMPTED. That already means that he TRIED, but did he actually succeed?? Luke attempted to take his life away and has failed. BUT this doesn't mean he's going to be 100% okay right away. Shout outs to @MISSHEYHIHO for her awesome comments concerning REALISTIC repercussions of not getting oxygen to the brain. That's all I will say concerning this question. You will find out more of the aftermath next chapter!
q: IS THIS THE END OF THE BOOK?
a: Of course not! If you've been reading my author's notes in last chapters (& if you don't, it's totally cool, they're pretty long) I've said that this story will contain about 52 chapters with an Epilogue. DRUNK WORDS, SOBER THOUGHTS still has 10 chapters left and an Epilogue. There will be a Character Ask as well right after the last chapter and right before the Epilogue.
q: WHAT ABOUT REESE AND MICHAEL?
a: I can promise you that loose ends will be tied by the last chapter of this book-- including EVERYTHING about Reese and Michael. This also means you'll also find out WHY Luke was staying with Reese at The Lotus Cove Cafe a few chapters back.
q: HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO MEEE?!?!?!
a: I'm sorry, guys! Seriously, I am. I knew this chapter was going to get a rise out of everyone but I've been planning this in the story since the very beginning. I don't wing-it when I write. I always create a detailed timeline and a chapter-by-chapter analysis so I know exactly what's going to happen. This way I can foreshadow, create red herrings, drop clues, other story fallacies, and know how one chapter's events will lead into the next one. Besides, how many Fanfictions do you guys read where an author doesn't keep things cute??? I like making my readers angry, sad, frustrated. And I like reading stories that do that to me too. It's a fanfiction BUT to me, at the end of the day, it's still a story with characters and I like creating an actual plot. That's just me.
