Chapter 13 – Gio Aiolos

"Unfortunately, you asked the wrong person. I don't know much about their business, but as an on-looker, I would always forget they are married."

Ashley was surprised. "Why did you say so?"

"Let's just say I don't sense intimacy between them. I didn't know they got married until Sean told me." Kyle waved at the waiter to bring out the dishes. "Anyway, I don't know much so it's useless asking me."

"Then it's also useless asking me for help. You should ask his legal wife's help."

"But it's not the current wife, but the ex-wife that messes his mind."

Ashley snorted and ignored him as she watched the server deliver their ordered dishes. "No wonder there are plenty of people who praise the Royal Hotel's food."

The dishes were decorated artfully and the portion was just enough to taste, but not enough to fill one's stomach. No wonder Kyle would order so many dishes.

But would his wallet be able to survive after this meal?

The waiter's smile became wider when he heard her admiration. "Please enjoy your meal."

"Try it. It's better than their appearance."

Ashley definitely looks forward to tasting it and making sure Kyle's money was spent well. Scooping the flesh of the peeled red crab, she did not waste time and delivered it into her mouth. As soon as she tasted it, she let out a small blissful moan, slowly savoring the taste.

"This is good! The best crab that I had tasted!" "

"Thank you."

That voice does not belong to Kyle. The disturbingly familiar voice immediately ruined the taste of the food in her mouth. Ashley's face also undergoes drastic changes by immediately going pale that even her lips were slightly affected.

Dropping her utensils, she turned around abruptly and glared at the tall Greek man wearing a chef uniform. "You again."

The chef grinned at her venomous tone. "Stalking me?"

Ashley feels disgusted and pushes away her plate, no longer wanting to eat the previously appetizing-looking food. "Don't overestimate yourself. I don't even know you would work here."

The chef glanced at Kyle, his eyes glinted dangerously. "You have a date?"

"I believe it's none of your business," Ashley said curtly.

"Gio Aiolos," he introduced himself to Kyle, who did not bother to hide his interest in his eyes.

"Kyle. Are you a friend of Ashley's?"

"I'm afraid I'm a bit more than a friend."

"He's one of my old flings that went wrong," Ashley explained icily and Kyle looked even more interested.

"Of course not, Ashley. I am willing to have you back to me."

Ashley was nauseated that he had the nerve to sound as if he was a forgiving person and she was the one in the wrong. "Dream on, Gio. We are fucking over."

Kyle could hear loathing from Ashley's tone. "You are one of the chefs here?"

Gio smiled arrogantly. "Yes, in fact, it was I that prepared your dishes in front of you. I was very happy to see Ashley loves it."

"I changed my mind," Ashley quipped with a frown. "Could you not see we are having a private conversation? Why would a chef intrude into our conversation without being invited, like an uncivilized person?"
