-Luke-

"We will talk about this later."

"So, we're still together, right?" Sierra asked, making me roll my eyes.

"I said we will talk about this later." I insisted, as I could feel her smile behind my back.

"I knew you'd make the right choice." Is all she said, before I finally opened the door.

I quickly let myself out, rushing to the nearest bathroom. I locked myself inside, placing both of my elbows on the sink. I grabbed my hair with my hands, burying my eyes inside my palms as I busted into tears.

I hate my life, I hate her, I hate myself.

Why do I let people run over me like this? Why am I nothing but scared?

I just want to be happy, I have all the reasons to be...

I'm rich, I have fans from all around the world, I love what I do, I have amazing friends...

So why, why can't I be happy?

"Luke?"

I took a deep breath after hearing a knock on the door, shaking my head before answering; "Yes, Niall?"

"Is everything okay in there?" He asked. "You've been upstairs for awhile."

"I'm fine! I just drank a little too much." I forced myself to giggle. "I'll be down in a minute."

"Are you sure you don't need any help-"

"I promise I'm fine! Please go enjoy yourself, I won't be long."

"Fine. We will be waiting for you downstairs." He replied, as I soon heard him walk away.

I splashed my face with some ice cold water, gently patting my skin with a dry towel afterwards. I fluffed my hair as I put on yet another fake smile, ready to go back out there.

Do I want to? No.

Do I have to? Yes.

I stepped outside the bathroom, unwillingly strolling towards the stairs...

Until, I saw somebody else doing the same thing.

Him.

It can't be him, right?

I'm probably just hallucinating... Understandable, judging from the amount of time I'm spending just thinking about him.

Shit, he's getting closer.

Okay, this is definitely not an illusion.

"Going somewhere?" I intervened, blocking the passage to the stairs.

He looked up to me, as I could feel my heart literally drop out of my chest.

Shit, he got even hotter.

"Luke." He said with a smirk. "What a pleasure to run into you."

"I didn't know you were coming to this thing..." I started. "I asked Calum, and he said you had to work."

"I wasn't supposed to come, but he got sick and needed a ride." He briefly explained. "What about you? Shouldn't you be downstairs with the other morons?"

I breathe laughed. "I was, but I felt the need to come upstairs..." I looked him up and down. "And now I see why."

"How romantic." He faked a grin. "Save the sweet talk for your girlfriend."

He tried to get through me, but I kept standing in his way.

"My girlfriend is not even half as attractive as you..." I confessed.
