Kenward may be known for his residence in D.C, but apparently he is an LA man at heart. His real home is up in the hills of Bel Air with all of the other massive houses. It has a very Tuscan-like exterior, setting it apart from the modern finishes on the neighborhood homes. The interior is warm, but it has a sleek vibe to it. It's a large mix between the past and the present.

When we walked in we were instantly greeted by a man who works for them. He lead us into the living room where Kenward resided. I instantly focused on him, and sure enough he looked at my dress. It is nothing but a skinny, long sleeved one that cuts off in the middle of my thighs, but I guess the green color was enough to keep him interested.

His wife Scarlett joined us a few moments later. She is years younger than him, and her body is constructed of plastic. The blonde hair she has curled doesn't match her dark brows. At least her red dress is modest enough. It matches the red sweater that Adrian has on.

Then finally Jett entered the room. I didn't have to hear him to know. The lights around me just got slightly dimmer. I actually lost my focus on his father when I saw him. His muscles poke through the light turtleneck, and a golden chain sits on his chest. He really got to me when he looked me up and down. The smirk that grew on his face actually made me nervous. I was stunned until he stepped closer to me and rested a hand around my back. He was establishing that we are a real item to everyone here, and I couldn't help but blush.

Vito and him are yet to apologize, but they are civil. When I informed Vito of my "plan" he accepted it. He doesn't think so little of me anymore, though, he still has to deal with the fact that his sister is a supposed gold digger. I hate having to stay like that in his head.

The one thing Jett brought with him that made us all happier was their dog Betty. She is the friendliest St. Bernard pup I've ever met. Iris was so ecstatic. She talked and hugged that dog as much as she could before we left for the dinner table.

My father gets to sit at the end of the table across from Adrian. Iris is to his right and Vito his left. I'm in the middle next Jett, and his stepmom is in front of him. There is an empty between Vito and Scarlett, so thankfully I don't have to look anyone in the eyes.

We are brought a bright salad to eat first. I can tell Iris is having a hard time getting it down, but she is smiling as much as possible. I think it tastes pretty good myself.

"So Adira, have you discovered your gift?" Scarlett asks me with a grin.

The table goes a little silent.

She looks around confused, "What?

"I don't have a gift. Just like my mother didn't," I inform her.

"Oh, I'm sorry dear."

I smile, "It's alright. I'm fine with it."

The table is still quiet, so I guess I need to do something.

"What is your gift?" I ask her.

"I'm just a weather girl. I can tell what tomorrow's clouds will bring."

I guess I didn't know there would be clouds tomorrow.

"Don't be so humble. That's really fascinating."

I never know what to say about gifts, so I just used that Ramiro said about mine.

While they talk about some war stuff, I take a moment to focus on Kenward again. He doesn't look at me, but I can tell he's avoiding the urge. I honestly don't know how this is going to help anything when the moment actually comes. He's an intelligent man, and he's strong enough to resist me. It will be a spur of the moment thing. Whatever happens though, I will make sure there is a scandal.
