wishing upon a star

585 20 6

I wished I could disappear
For a matter of few days
Be anywhere but here
Far away from this place

Ran away to a place
Where nobody knew me
Got high, smoked a ciggerate
Listening to music

There,
I found him
The love of my life
Said he saw something
In my deep blue eyes

"Your eyes, like ocean
Calm like sea
Wonder how deep
I could fall for thee"

His eyes green like grass,
In the cool wind blowing,
He came like a wave
I went flowing

We ran,
across mountains,
In search of a meaning
kissing only as the sun met the horizon,
on a sunny evening.

Were Riding down dark paths
With just, the light of the moon
Blurry eyes sped past
Chrysanthemums in bloom

I Saw his face in a dream
Reminiscing those days we spent on the beach
Wondering, how very lovely it really had been
Only If it had lasted three more days atleast

His face,
in my hand,
Shined like sapphire
In a crimson land
In raging fire.

The setting sun wrote,
An end to a story
Two days, five hours,
And an eternal glory.

Lips quivered,
Words were spoken
Nothing was heard
Speech slurred and broken

"I wish I hadn't wished,
upon a Star
For it didn't grant me happiness,
This far

It granted me everything I wanted
But nothing that I needed
For the sooner that I got it
The sooner it had ended".

Cold breeze brushing across my hair
Slowly as I took my very last breath
Thinking that it was lovely until it lasted
And now that it's ended, I shall finally rest
