the bell rung with the cool air hitting there face. They all nodded to the cashier that was working today. they always came to this store specifically because they all felt safe at this one for some reason.

and Peter, the one who ran the store. they all liked him, he was better than some of the other store managers. they really just liked coming here cause they knew they wasn't going to get dirty looks or followed around the store.

"but what if the bitch ass stink" cortez scrunched his face up

"we talking bout shakayla right?" kai asked being confused as hell

"nigga she stank period" Duke laughed under his breath

"but she got a nice personality.." cortez mumbled making Duke and Kai bust out laughing

"you playing right" kai continued laughing wit Duke who was running around in the store while he came back and hit kai every two senconds while he laughed.

"y'all niggas ain't shit" cortez laughed waving them off, while they walked to the back of the store.

"My bad, you know ima support you." Duke bit down on his bottom lip trying to laugh

"this nigga don't even care bout that girl fr, don't apologize" kai shook his head

"you might be right" cortez nodded laughing

"one of these girls gone get yo ass" Duke said while they walked to the front of the store.

"fr, tayla already beat yo ass one time" kai shrugged slapping his orange Gatorade on the counter

"yeah cause she beat you in front of the store" Peter spoke letting his Arab accent pop, kai and Duke started laughing

"mmcht yall on a nigga dick" cortez shook his head laughing

"thanks Peter" kai mumbled as they all exited the store and started making they way down the street.

the street lights were already on, because it was already late as hell.

"then the girl talking bout i got hoes, now we all know" Duke straight faced them

"that you got hoes—." kai was cut off by his phone continuously going off, he pulled his phone out his pocket.

'💛' popped up on the screen, making him just stuff his phone back into his pocket.

"that's just lies, i can't even handle hoes" Duke shook his head

"I can, tell her to come my way" cortez smiled

"that don't make no—." kai's phone went off again making him sigh. he pulled his phone out and answered it this time.

"the fuck you want ?" his tone was a little aggressive

"WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU" Mia yelled

"don't worry bout it" he mumbled

"IF I POP UP AT YO HOUSE AND YOU NOT THERE, WATCH WHAT HAPPEN"

"alright" he said shortly

"that girl crazy omm" Duke said

"NIGGA FUCK-." kai hung up, cause he knew if he didn't she was just going to keep going on and on. he was really tryna be patient wit Mia, but she was lowkey driving him crazy.

"see and that's why ima certified playa right there"

"you so corny" Duke laughed along wit kai, they was always cracking jokes on each other. But since they knew each other they knew how far to take it. what not to say and how not to say it.

"y'all sure y'all wanna go to this party" kai mumbled, he just had a really bad feeling about this party. something didn't feel right to him about it.

"Mmcht stop being scary, yo ass always wanna be home wit that crazy girl" cortez mugged him

"not tonight cause she buggin" kai shook his head, him and Mia had got into a argument about her being friendly wit her 'guy friends'

she was always tryna reassure him, but he really wasn't going for any of that.

"DUKE" Duke turned his head to see teek right behind them

"yoo" Duke dapped teek up

"where y'all finna go ?" teek asked and cortez threw his head back

"this nigga" cortez mumbled but only kai heard it clearly

"some party these niggas wanna go to" Duke laughed

"mmcht stop lying like you wasn't hype as hell" kai straight faced him

"why y'all walking ?" Teek asked

"I asked the same thing" kai mumbled as he continued to walk

"so the bitches can see my outfit when I walk up" Duke smiled

"and you called me corny ?" cortez mugged him making Duke just laugh

"they really just gone think you broke" kai laughed while they walked behind him

"lemme come wit y'all" teek said

"yea fosho, as long as you stay out my sister comments" Duke mugged him and teek nodded laughing

"nigga down bad" cortez laughed

kai had them tuned out, he really didn't even know what they was saying or talking bout. he really don't care at the moment either, cause he was still thinking bout this party. he ain't feel like something wasn't right.

he was right, but not everything shows it's true self  at first.

this chapter was just so that everything clicks when I really get deep into this storyline.
