They had convinced you to get the rest of Jay's unit involved, which was how you found yourself in Intelligence surrounded by under caffeinated sleep deprived cops. Will had been called into surgery and had left with promises that he would be called when or if needed. After finishing your story and looking back at your hands which Mouse had taken. "When did they start threatening you?" Erin asked as Voight gave your brother a disproving glare. "Jay and Mouse just found out, please don't take it out on them." Voight shook his head, "I'm not, kid." You looked at the whiteboard behind Erin. "A few months." Mouse stiffened beside you and Jay swallowed his anger, "why didn't you say something sooner?" You stood releasing Mouse's hand. "Because they were my unit, I pulled them out and brought them home. I thought that meant something to you army boys. I risked my life to bring them home. I thought they would listen to me. Turns out their loyalty is with the dead solider and his husband that they never met rather than the medic who brought them home." Jay ducked his head. "It does, kid, it does mean something." Breathing heavy, Jay's team recognised and connected with the hurt of being betrayed by your own team.

Voight nodded, "with what you've given us we can make the arrest for harassment." Jay looked over at him, "that's it, Sarge he's threatening my sister?" You looked at Jay, "not much else you can do, he's only made death threats against me and Mouse. Unless he upgrades to actually trying to kill one of us, harassment is the only charge." Everyone looked at you, "seriously? Brother." You pointed at Jay, "boyfriend," you pointed at Mouse. "Actually, knows what she's talking about." You pointed to yourself. Jay paled, "what you're saying Sarge is that you want him to try and kill my sister?" Alvin looked up from the notes he was reading. "Looks like from these he wants to kill Mouse more, to make her suffer." Jay threw his hands up, "oh because that makes it better." Voight shrugged once more, "she'll have protection." He pointed at Roman who was walking up the stairs with Platt.

"Sarge, this is my sister I am not putting her life in the hands of some newbie cop that barely graduated the academy." You stepped forwards putting your hand on your brother's back. "Its fine, I'll have Mouse with me." Jay looked at you and with your sibling telepathy, took a breath. Voight shrugged, "we'll need Mouse to help track these guys down." Jay almost started forward; you spoke. "Then I can stay here in the break room if that would make everyone feel better?" Voight took in the glare of your older brother and Mouse's almost possessive grip on your hand. Before nodding, Jay hugged you moving away. Mouse squeezed your hand; he released it heading back to his desk. You moved away and sat in the break room while the team got to work.

It didn't take long for Intelligence to have a workable plan. Although it wasn't the most well thought out plan and it involved Mouse essentially being bait. The upper brass had not been impressed with Mouse being bait but had realised it was a necessary move. Now it all came down to getting in contact with the ones threatening you. It hadn't been hard to set up the meet, Mouse had played the over-protective boyfriend, even that was easy to believe.

"Car headed your way, Mouse." Erin let him know while Jay sought out the driver through his gun sight. Mouse looked over to the approaching car, Jay scanned the car. "One driver, no passengers." The car rolled to a stop; Mouse simply raised his head, turning to face the approaching car. The driver's door opened, and someone stepped out. Mouse still didn't move as Jay identified the driver as the one who was threatening you.

He moved over to Mouse gun by his side openly holding it. "Brave of you to meet with me." Mouse turned slightly, "braver of you to threaten my girlfriend, the medic who pulled you out of Afghanistan." The man huffed, "I threatened you more." Mouse shrugged, "threaten me all you like, but you don't touch her." The two cops beside you tensed, although no one rushed in. You were all waiting for him to admit to further violence or try and kill Mouse. "She cost me my husband, so I will cost her hers." With that statement, he raised the gun up to kill Mouse. Mouse moved quicker than liquid metal, shoving the guy's wrist so that the bullet winged off and hit a concert pillar. Mouse used the ranger training he had been given, grabbing him and throwing him over shoulder. He threw him on the ground on his stomach. Alvin smirked, "got him." The rest of the team moved into arrest him.

Mouse handed the guy off to Voight and Erin. You came out of the surveillance van with Roman and Alvin. Running over to where your brother was clapping Mouse on the back. You hugged Jay first, whispering "thanks" in his ear. He tightened his hold on you before moving away stating he was going to call Will. Mouse wrapped you in his arms, kissing your temple.

After a short while, when the Army had shown up and were busy attempting to taken over the scene. Jay looked over to where you were standing with Mouse. You had your arms wrapped around his waist and he had his encasing your shoulders keeping you tucked into his side. As Jay watched Mouse kissed the top of your head and comfortingly ran a hand over your back. Will who had joined after the arrest noticed this as well. "They seem to really care about each other." Jay nodded, "I trust Mouse with my life, safe to say that I trust him with our sister." Will looked at his brother, "do you trust our sister with your best friend?" Jay sighed and turned to face his brother, "she was willing to run to protect him and us. She was willing to hurt him to stay alive." Will looked back over at you at the same time you were tenderly looking at Mouse. As they watched you softly brushed your fingers against his cheek. "She stayed Jay, we've all hurt each other to protect ourselves. Mouse has forgiven her; we need to as well. She was willing to break her own heart and her relationship with you to protect everything, to save your best friend. She was going to lose you both with that move which would destroy her, she still idolises you and is in love with Mouse."

Jay nodded and saw that you and Mouse were now heading over. Stopping to stand in front of your brother's, you had let go of Mouse's hands and were now wringing your own. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have kept this from you." Both of your brothers looked at you, the guilt of keeping this from them even for the short amount of time and your almost abandonment of your relationships had evidently been eating at you. Jay felt the annoyance leech away and dissolve into brotherly affection. He reached forwards pulled you into a hug, Will joined it his own brotherly affection bleeding through. Mouse stood outside the sibling hug for a moment before Jay reached out yanking him into the family hug.
