She was once again scrolling through their previous chats. Trying to rummage through the long list of messages to find a single sentence that must have turned their friendship off, but as usual to her dismay, the sentence would never occur. The growing irritation made her throw her phone on the sofa and fix her eyes on the TV.

He left for no reason, at all? Was this really it? Did he start hating her for being so clingy towards him?

Once again, she was sitting drowned in the deep pool of her recurring thoughts. Her legs sprawled over the table, as she sat on the sofa. Her favourite comedy show The Big Bang Theory running in the background repeating one of the episodes from season two was the show that would always help her get over his thoughts. Comedy punches would engulf her in fits of laughter and would wipe her thoughts of him away. But, today even the show couldn't get her mind off the hot topic of reunion. It has been six years since they met each other physically. And, seven years since they talked. Not that they talked today, but the discreet comments directed over each other via the game were still much of a secret conversation they tried to have.

Pausing the episode on the TV, she got up to the knock on her door. She was used to late-night knocks at her door by her neighbour, Riley.

"Harleen, can you please take care of Millie for a while? It's an urgent case." Her amiable neighbour friend who happened to be a doctor by profession was asking her to take care of her daughter while she attended to an urgent case. Harleen loved babysitting the six-year-old Millie, who was way too intelligent for her age.

"Sure, Riley! Is that a thing to ask? I'll surely take care of her. Best of luck with your case!" She flashed one of her smiles at both of them while Millie looked at her with her big doe eyes and smiled.

"Thanks a lot, Harleen!" She chirped and jingled her keys before moving towards the elevator after giving Millie a good list of instructions on manners.

"Come." Harleen smiled looking down at Millie and closed the door behind her.

"Big Bang Theory? Wow. I wanna see it. Mom doesn't let me watch it." Millie clapped her hands in excitement.

"Well, sweetie you can't really watch it." She kneeled down to her and flashed an apologetic smile towards her while breaking her heart.

"Why not?" She asked, pouting. Harleen chuckled looking at her and ticked her nose.

"Because it's a.. boring show." She lied and cringed from inside while speaking about the great show. If she would've heard anyone else speaking that about her favourite show, they would've probably been six feet under the ground. But she can't let the little girl watch the show either due to some of the explicit words and scenes.

"Oh. I didn't know that. Then, how about we do karaoke?" She squealed in happiness.

"Perfect! Taylor Swift?" She asked gleaming at the mention of karaoke. Being the hardcore Swifties, they both spent the night singing to Swift's top Hits.
