|As I waited in the tree house, I couldn't help but think about what Sal was gonna tell me. Was it bad? Good? I was overthinking the entire situation completely. Then my train of thought was interrupted by someone climbing the ladder inside the tree house. As they were coming up, it was Sal. I waved to him and he waved back.

"Hey Y/n."

He then got in and patted his pants down.

"Almost fell getting up here.."

I chuckled and put my arms on top of my knees.

"You even slip on the steps when it isn't even winter." I said with a small smile on my face.

I could hear him scoff then make his way to sit next to me, he put his legs up to his chest and had the both of his hands grab his knees.

"But I didn't fall down."

I nudged his shoulder with mine and smiled a little bigger.

"But you still slipped Sal."

He sighed then chuckled.

"Yeah yeah, so what if I did? At least I'm here."

I turned my head to him and met his eyes with mine, I couldn't help but feel my chest tighten a bit when I saw his eyes. I looked down to the flooring and started to play with my fingers. Sal tuned his head then criss crossed his legs. He put them in his hood pocket and relaxed his pouster a bit.

"Everything okay?" He questioned.

I looked up again at him then sighed.

"Well.. yeah, I'm just.. confused right now." Then my eyes started to stare at my hands trying to avoid eye contact with him. Even the slightest bit of it made me feel nervous.

"Hmm? That's funny."

He took his hands out of his pockets then put the both of his hands on the eye holes of his mask.

"Thats why I came up here to talk to you actually, cuz I'm confused with myself too right now."

I smiled to myself and felt myself relax a little.

"Psh! Probably not as confused as me Sally Face."

He put his hands down then rested them in his lap.

"Nu uh! Mines way more confusing than yours dude!" He said as he gently nudged my arm with his elbow.

I looked at him once again and giggled.

"Fine then! Tell me yours!" I said to him.

I saw that he imidietly felt hesitant, I felt a little bad pushing him a bit, but at the same time I wanted to know what was bothering him.

"Shit man! Didn't mean to make you nervous..." I said to him.

"You're good Y/n, i... I need to get it off my chest anyways. It's been bothering me for a while..."

"Well.. before I say anything, you promise you won't think less of me?" He said as he turned his head to look at the floor.

I felt my lips turn into a little frown as he said that, I put my hand on his back and rubbed it in circles gently.

"Hey dude, I promise I won't think any less of you no matter what you say! You're my best friend. I won't judge you okay?"

He looked back up at me, seeing that his eyes slightly shifted up.

"Thanks Y/n.." He said softly.

"You're welcome Sal."
