"Hurry up, Goh!"

The two research assistants of Professor Cerise ran at full speed towards the Wyndon Stadium. According to Ash, the battle between Lance and Leon must have already begun as they headed towards the stadium. But Ash didn't care. He still wanted to watch the remaining part of the battle, even if he might have missed the majority of the battle.

Ash and Goh finally reached in front of the stadium, with the latter panting in exhaustion.

"Pants....pants....A-Ash wait....let me have a moment...."

"Come on, Goh! We already missed most of the battle, and we can't miss this part!" Ash replied impatiently. Goh sighed but nodded nonetheless. It would be a waste coming to Galar to watch the finals of the World Coronation Series if they couldn't watch the battle itself.

Ash and Goh then rushed towards the entrance of the stadium, only for a guard that block their path.

"Now, where do you think you kids are going?" The guard asked in a stern voice.

"Uh...To watch the battle inside." Ash answered nonchalantly. The guard just slapped his face.

"I know that!" The guard exclaimed, a little annoyed. "But for you to watch the battle, you would need tickets! You have to have them!"

"O-Oh...y-yeah...the tickets..." Ash muttered before frantically searching through his pockets. Luckily, it didn't take too long to find the tickets before handing them to the guard. "H-Here...."

The guard took the tickets, making sure to inspect whether they were real or duplicates. Once he was sure they were the original ones, he handed them back to Ash. "Alright....they are real, you two can go inside... But why are you so late? The battle is almost over."

"Ahehehe... We ran into some trouble." Ash replied, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. The guard just sighed. Ash and Goh then headed towards the stands, and when they entered the stands, the announcer exclaimed.

"This is simply amazing, folks! Both Pokémon were knocked out simultaneously! Both of our finalists are only left with one Pokémon each!

"Will the current Jhoto Champion and founder of the G-Men, Lance, be able to win the battle?!" The announcer asked as the crowd kept cheering.

Ash and Goh turned towards the left side of the battlefield. There stood a man Ash was very familiar with, albeit he looked a bit older now. He wore the very same red and blue outfit with his black cave behind him. It was Lance.

"Or will the undefeated Champion of the Galar League still keep his title as the strongest trainer in the world?!" The announcer asked once again.

Ash and Goh turned to the other side of the battlefield, where a man who seemed to be roughly the same age as Lance stood. He was a tanned-skinned man with golden eyes in one of the most bizarre outfits Ash had ever seen. His outfit resembled that of a soccer player. He also wore a giant fluffy cave with multiple sponsors in its back.

'So that is Leon.' Ash assumed, watching the man with great focus.
