Today's story starts in Cerise Park, where Goh, Professor Cerise, and Chloe have decided to do some martial arts with their coach being none other than.....Mr. Mime?
"Why am I doing this again?" Chloe complained with a sigh.
"There is nothing wrong trying out some martial art in the morning. It can be very useful for your health." Professor Cerise reassured her.
"Mr. Mime! Mr.Mime!" Mr. Mime scolded Goh when he made a mistake. He then pointed at Metapod and two of Ash's Pokémons, who were doing it perfectly. It was Charizard and Kubfu.
"Like them?" Goh asked with a confused look while Mr. Mime nodded in agreement.
Suddenly, Scorbunny ran out of nowhere and accidentally kicked Metapod, sending it flying. It then fell on top of a rock, making a cracked sound.
"Hey, from what I remembered, doesn't the Metapod's inside contain......" Goh didn't finish the sentence before all three of them screamed in realisation.
"WAIT IS IT ALRIGHT?!"
"Metapod, you alright!?/Are you fine!?"
Both Professor Cerise and Goh asked in worry. While Goh took Metapod in his hands, Professor Cerise somehow mistook Metapod for a...........rock? Yeah, don't ask about that. It was a canon event.
"Calm down dad, you are talking to a rock ." Chloe frantically said, finally snapping Professor Cerise out of his funk.
"Hey, are you alright?" Goh asked worriedly to his Metapod since it had swirls in his eyes. However, it immediately came back to his senses as it gave Goh a nod. "That's a relief."
"Goh!"
Goh turned around, only to see his bag flying towards him. Instinctively, he caught it. Surprisingly, it was Ash who threw his bag as he was there with his own bag on his back with Pikachu by his side.
"Ash?"
"Pack up your things. We are both going to participate in the Frontier Cup in the Battle Tower of the Hoenn Region." Ash stated with a grin.
"Hold on your Rapidashes Ash, what's a Battle Tower anyways?" Goh asked in confusion.
There was part of him that was, however, pretty excited. After all, it could be another catching competition where he could catch tons of new Pokemon.
"Oh, it's the newest facility for the Battle Frontier challenge." Ash answered.
"The battle, what now?" Chloe asked even more confused.
"The Battle Frontier is just like a Pokemon Gym circuit but much more intense. There are seven trainers you have to battle, and all of them are on par with the Elite Fours. To celebrate the opening of their newest facility, they have hosted this tournament." Ash grinned before showing them the poster.
