"Hurry up, guys! The stands are this way!" Ash exclaimed as he energetically ran towards the stadium.
"He sure is excited." Sonia remarked with a giggle as she and the other ran after him. Since all of them coincidentally had reserved seat numbers being near each other, all of them decided to go to the tournament as a group. This included Ash, Goh, Chloe, Hop, and Sonia.
"Ash always gets excited when something like this occurs." Goh chuckled a little.
Ash kept running, looking around all the shops that were put there. Cause of this, he was unaware of the person in front of him, bumping into the said person.
"O-Oh...Sorry about that...Ah, it's you, Leon!"
"Ash! It's a surprise to meet you before the match." Leon remarked.
"What are you doing here outside?" Ash asked.
"Well, actually, I was waiting for someone." Leon answered, as just then Sonia, Hop, Goh, and Chloe arrived.
"Ah, there you are, Hop! And you are here too, Sonia?!" Leon greeted them as he and Hop made a fist bump. This shocked the trio of Kanto. They didn't expect that Leon knew them.
"You all know each other?!" Ash asked, surprised.
"Why wouldn't I not know them? Sonia, here is my childhood friend, and Hop is my younger brother." Leon explained with a laugh. "But I am surprised that you all know each other?"
"Well, we actually happened to meet them in the Budew Inn Drop by luck." Goh answered.
"Lee is currently the strongest trainer in the world, and the one who is going to take him down is..." Hop pointed his finger towards himself. "Me! His awesome little brother!"
"Well, not if I do that first!" Ash exclaimed with a grin.
"Well, then I guess that makes us rivals!" Hop smirked.
"You are right about that!"
"Ok, ok, boys, we get that." Sonia laughed a little bit. "I think now we should get inside the stadium. It's going to start now."
"Oh shoot, I have to go too! See you guys later!" Leon exclaimed as he ran off.
The group then headed inside the stadium, seating in their respective seats. It was a wise decision given that the stadium was packed with the crowd. Well, all except Hop. Sonia explained that since Hop is a gym challenger, he has to go to the dressing room and change as per tradition of the Galar League. Every gym challenger must be present alongside the gym leaders.
Soon, all of the lights started to focus at one point, in the middle of the battlefield where a man stood. It was none other than Rose himself.
