Ash and Goh entered Professor Cerise's research laboratory, where they noticed him glancing over some kind of map.
"What are you looking at, Professor?" Goh asked.
"Oh, Goh. It's just that I found a strange map I found in the basement. I am trying to figure out what this map is all about." Professor Cerise answered. "But it seems like you two are ready to go!"
"You bet! Watching the exhibition match between the Champions of Galar and Kanto isn't something I would even dream of missing!" Ash answered excitedly. However, he does hope that they don't run into another rampaging Dynamaxed Pokémon.
"And after that, I think we will also try to learn more about Dynamax and Gigantamax," Goh answered.
"In that case, I have just the right person for you!" Professor Cerise exclaimed. "You see, there is a researcher named Sonia in the Galar region who has made quite the name due to her recent studies in Dynamax and Gigantamax. I will tell her to meet you in Motostoke and help you out."
"Thanks, Professor," Goh responded.
Just then, Chloe entered the room. However, instead of her school uniform that she was normally wearing, she was instead wearing a more casual outfit.

"Hey Chloe, this will be your first time visiting the Galar Region, right, are you excited?" Goh asked.
"Eh, not that much... As I said before...I had nothing better to do, so I decided to rag along with you guys." With a bored look, Chloe replied. "But I am a little curious about the fashion of Galar."
"Well, maybe you can find something unexpectedly pleasant there." Professor Cerise remarked optimistically. Chloe gave him an unamused look before letting out a sigh. The group didn't want to waste any more time, so they headed towards the airport before taking their flight to Galar.
...
"Ummm....we are finally here in Motostoke!" Ash exclaimed as all three of them exited the airport in Motostoke. Upon glancing at the city, the group could tell this town preferred long buildings and houses.
"Why are there so many giant gears everywhere?" Ash asked, confused.
"Well, according to the Pokedex, Motostoke prefers to use the traditional way of supplying power to the city. That's why instead of wires, or cables, they used the power of these Gears instead...Though I am not sure how they do that.." Goh answered.
"So, where are we heading next?" Chloe asked.
"Let me see...According to Leon, we have to head straight for the Motostoke Gym...Now let me see where this gym is anyway." Goh searched the location of the gym on his phone before pinpointing it. Goh carefully navigated the way with Ash and Chloe following him before they all arrived in front of a large stadium.
"Uhhh Goh, you sure this is the gym," Ash stated, not believing it to be their location.
"Well, I did say Galar Gym Leaders are cut above the rest. I guess I forgot to tell you that the gyms themselves aren't anything less either." Leon stated as he made his presence known to the group.
