The rays of sun descended upon her room as the alarm went on. She groaned a little before finally mustering the power to turn off the alarm. With a small yawn, she stood out from her bed and made her way downstairs only to come to face to face with....

"Oh, you are awake. Good morning, Chloe." Ash smiled.

"G-Good morning." Chloe replied before curiously glancing at the boxes Ash was holding. "Wait, they look familiar..."

"Oh these, Miss Talia asked me to help her out in taking out some of her old stuff. Apparently, she was going to donate these things to Lavender Town's orphanage today." Ash answered before placing them near the doorway.

"Hm..." Curiously, Chloe opened the boxes, a little interest in her mom's old things. Upon opening them, Chloe saw that it contained many things like clothes, old toys, some old instruments... However, the one thing that caught the marron-haired girls attention was a pair of dusty old sketch books.

Chloe removed the dust from the books by beating it multiple times before opening it.

"Woah, I didn't know Miss Talia was this good in making sketches." Ash remakred, impressed by Chole's mothers artistic skills. "But they seem more like manga art works."

"She never told me about this." Chloe muttered to herself.

"Huh?" Ash said, confused.

"Oh, Ash could you---Oh Chloe, I didn't know you were up." Chole's mother, Talia, walked up to them.

"Good morning, Mom. You hever told me you were into manga arts." Chloe said, showing her the sketch books

"Oh my, it seems like you found some old memories of mine." Talia smiled. "Tell you the truth, these are from the time when I was a still a student in the college...Back then even before the thought of becoming an illustrator came into my mind, I actually wanted to be a mangaka instead."

"Wait, really?!" Ash said, surprised.

"I didn't know that.." Chloe gasped.

"Yeah, back then I was really passionate about it....However, it appeared that it wasn't something meant for me... So I just gave up..." Taila smiled fondly. Ash and Chloe were not very happy. They didn't like to hear that she basically had up on her dream. "However..then it happened."

"I met your father, and somehow, he was able convinced me not to give up so easily." Talia blushed a little, remmbering her fond memories with her husband in her younger days.

"Aww, that's a sweet." Chloe smiled a little, happy to hear about it.

"So, did you become an illustrator because Professor Cerise asked you to be?" Ash asked.

"What...no, not at all..You see, while he did encourage me to not give up on my dreams, at the end of the day it was ultimately my own choice which lead choose my path for the future."
