Naruko and Sasuke charged at Haku. Thanks to the sharingan Sasuke was a lot quicker with his movements and saw through Haku's attacks, making Naruko smirk proudly. The three battled with such ferocity that it even seemed the ground below was shaking

"Because of his sharingan, it's like he's reading my every move....he can see...." Haku thinks, alarmed, he narrowed his eyes at Sasuke and Naruko.

"Kage bushin no jutsu!" Naruko summoned at least thirty clones of herself and sent them after Haku. "Take him down girls!" She ordered

Sasuke looked at her worriedly, knowing how spent she already is. After all, Kage bushin takes up a lot of chakra.

Haku meanwhile was beginning to tire out as he dealt with the relentless clones that seemed to just multiply with each poof. "Kage bushin no jutsu!" He heard Naruko yell again. "She has an insurmountable amount of chakra!" He thinks in alarm. But he knew she couldn't keep this up much longer either, she's bound to tire eventually

"Sasuke run!" Naruko yelled doing the fire ball jutsu hand sign. "What?" Sasuke was confused. "I want you to run out and attack from outside!" Naruko instructed

"I won't allow you to!" Haku declared and suddenly Sasuke was thrown back. He stood back up and, gritting his teeth, looked at Naruko who nodded at him. "Go" she mouthed. Sasuke ran towards another gap between the mirrors

"I can do this" he thought. Just then Haku jumped outside of the mirror, but Naruko sent a fireball after him, but the boy dodged this and threw a senbon in her direction. Haku then kicked Sasuke, who was almost outside, back in.

Sasuke fell hard on the floor and Haku vanished into the mirror

"I-it's fine, that was good just now Sasuke t-that was-" Naruko forced out a reassuring smile as she slowly pulled off the senbon from her shoulder blade.

"Naruko" Sasuke looked at her with so much worry, it was like he wanted to shield her from every single bad thing in the world. Naruko wanted to roll her eyes at this, she wasn't some damsel in distress. "Let's do that again" she said

"Are you sure?" The raven haired asked

"Yes!" Naruko nodded, still keeping a hand on her bleeding shoulder blade. Sasuke narrowed his eyes and nodded, determined to defeat Haku.

Sasuke stormed towards an exit while Naruko decided to deal with Haku, she summoned more shadow clones and sent them after Haku, next she prepared for a rasengan.

She ran towards Haku with the rasengan and leaped to the air, she slammed her fist down and smashed the floor, leaving behind a concrete mess, Haku had narrowly escaped her. She and Haku fought while Sasuke tried to break out, but halfway through the boy stopped running and looked back to watch Naruko fighting with Haku, he was filled with worry and anxiety as he watched the blonde girl fight.

He didn't want to lose her, he's lost so much already

"I have to do something" he thought. He raced towards the fight and summoned four shadow clones, all threw shuriken at Haku.

Haku who was busy fighting Naruko felt the weapons pierce his body and he was kicked back against a mirror by Naruko

"It's high time we end this" Naruko said with a glare charging up another rasengan, Sasuke prepared a kunai. "I'm sorry Haku" Naruko said sincerely

In one quick movement Sasuke sent the kunai to Haku's heart at the same time as Naruko's rasengan.

Then, the blonde's vision went dark and she fell forward, but was caught by Sasuke who held her in her arms.

"....when will she wake up?"

"Hopefully soon"

".....everything she endured, she deserves a long rest"

"It's been two days"

Naruko's brows furrowed when she heard faint voices around her. When her eyes opened, all she saw were blurry colorful shapes, but soon she was able to make out the faces of Sasuke, Kakashi,  and Inari around her.

"Naruko-nee! You're awake!" Inari rushed forward to hug her but was held back by the collar of his shirt by Sasuke. "Guys" Her voice was hoarse, so Kakashi handed her a cup of water.

"What happened?" She asked. Remembering Haku, the mirror dome, Zabuza and the bridge, she panicked "What happened to Haku? And Zabuza? The bridge-" she was cut off by Sasuke shushing her with a hand on her mouth

"Everything's fine now, we beat them" he said with a smirk. "Kakashi killed Zabuza, he won't be harming anyone else anymore...as for Haku" there was a pause, Sasuke wasn't sure if he should tell her or not. But Naruko gave him a smile "It's fine, I remember. It had to be done"

She then looked over at Inari who was looking at her with wonder and hero-worship. "Naruko-neechan, thanks to you, we managed to get rid of Gato once and for all! You helped me become brave and face my greatest fears. Not just me too, but the villagers as well. We banded together and finally decided to take back the land that's rightfully ours!"

Inari hugged Naruko tightly. "Thank you Naruko-nee"

Naruko felt warmth envelope her heart. She placed a hand on Inari's head before kissing his forehead. "You were always brave Inari-kun, you just needed the right push to realize it" she whispered. Inari turned bright red and steam practically came out of his ears

"N-n-n-n-n-Naruko-neechan kissed me" he stuttered feeling dizzy

"This little brat" Sasuke scowled trying to pry Inari off of Naruko

Kakashi just laughed at the scene

"Thank you for helping us get our land back, and helping us finish building the bridge" Tazuna said shaking Kakashi's hand

"You're such a beautiful, strong girl. No doubt you're the target for a lot of confessions from boys in your village huh?" Tsunami said with a smile as she pats Naruko's head. "You should know, you're leaving behind a lot of heartbroken boys here" she winked and pointed at Inari who had his arms crossed and looked like he was trying not to cry

Naruko giggled and hugged Inari "Inari-kun, it's not like we'll never see each other again" she promised. "I'll come back to visit"

This brightened up Inari "Really?" He asked hopefully. "Yep! I promise" Naruko swore. "And not just me, but Sasuke would visit too" she yanked Sasuke forward who glared at her, before sighing "Sure I guess, we'll see you around kid" Sasuke said placing a hand on top of Inari's head

Tazuna smiled "That girl brought us hope and happiness in the short amount of time she spent here. She made us laugh and feel delighted. She changed Inari's mind and Inari changed the village people's mind" he said looking at Naruko fondly. "That girl created a bridge linking us to hope"

"We need to name this bridge!" A villager said. "I say we name the bridge after this girl! The great Naruko bridge!"

Tsunami laughed "That's a good name"

Team seven bade the village good bye, setting off on their journey home, back to Konoha
