Chapter 14: Imprisioned

Ezra's POV

My eyes fluttered open and I couldn't believe what I saw. I was chained up to my arms and my legs.  I looked around and saw I was in a cell with everyone except Chopper. I guessed that he must have gotten turned off or even worse, dismantled. I could see that Kanan was still asleep, as with Sabine, Zeb and Hera. What did the Empire want with us now? I closed my eyes and tried to wake Kanan up by talking with him through the Force.

"Kanan?"

No answer, so I tried again.

"Kanan? It's Ezra. Please don't be dead."

Still no answer. Now I was thinking he was dead.

Ezra.

Kanan was alive!

"Kanan, are you okay?"

I-I think so. How about you?

"Still hanging in there. Are you awake?

Sort of.

"Okay, I'm going to try and wake up Hera and Sabine. Try and get Zeb."

I shouted at both Hera and Sabine. "Girls! Wake up! You have to wake up! We're trapped!" I yelled. Sabine had managed to wake up, but Hera was still out cold.

"What's going on?" she asked me.

"We got captured after I- well, kinda blew up your room. It was an accident; I swear!"

"We got captured?" she said.

"Yeah." I replied. "We're in a sticky situation. And we have no idea where Chopper is." Suddenly Zeb woke up as well.

"Whoa," he said as he looked around. "What happened?"

"We got captured Zeb." Sabine said. "Try and keep up with the program."

"What happened to Kanan and Hera?" Zeb asked. "He was in my dream for some reason convincing me to wake up."

"Well, he is fine. He's just asleep. I talked with him through the Force, so I hope he's fine." I said. "At least I hope so." I mumbled quietly.

"He's probably working on getting Hera up." Sabine said.

"Well so far, he seems to be taking his time." Zeb said.

I giggled. "Maybe Kanan's convincing Hera to go on a date." I said. 

Sabine and Zeb both laughed at what I said.

"Snoozle berries!" Hera finally said waking up. Everyone but Kanan looked at her funny. "What did I miss?" she asked.

"We got captured." Zeb said pointing to the chains.

"I just had the most horrible wonderful dream. I guess it was more weird though." she said.

"What was it about?" I asked.

"Kanan was asking me to go on a date with him. Although I did say yes, and next thing I knew, we were on a cruise ship in the ocean, and then I finally woke up." she explained.

"What she said." Kanan said waking up. "Man oh man, controlling dreams is awesome."

"You can control dreams Kanan?" I said looking surprised. "How?"

"The Force. Duh." Kanan said.

"Oh, right."

"Can we please be serious?" Sabine asked. "We need to get out of here and find Chopper."

"Kanan, can't we just get everyone out with the Force?" I asked.

"We can try." Kanan shrugged. We both closed our eyes; concentrating on breaking the chains.

10 minutes later

After ten minutes of concentrating, we still couldn't get the chains to break loose.

"What is with these chains?" I said pulling on them.

"I have no idea." Kanan said looking at me. "They're unbreakable."

"So what are we gonna do now?" Zeb asked.

"I don't know." Kanan said.

I thought for a moment and said, "Wait a minute. Kanan, didn't you say during one time in Jedi training that there are two sides to the Force? Dark and light. We've been using the light side, but not the dark." 

"Ezra, that's too risky. Once you turn to the Dark Side, there's no going back."

"Well that's a risk we've got to take." I said. "I remember you once said, 'Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate, hate leads to suffering.'"

"Well I'm not the one that came up with that quote though. Master Yoda did."

"Just try it. Think of what your worst fear is." I said. Kanan nodded slowly, looking unsure of my plan.

Hey guys! It's been like 16 days since I've last updated this. Mostly cause I wasn't following my schedule I made and cause I didn't know what to do next. I kinda ran out of ideas after everyone got captured. But I fixed up the schedule so it's more flexible for me to do. It's a good thing I took Wednesday and Thursdays off since Wednesday is like a random day for me and on Thursday I was busy in the evening and I would never get up in the morning. Yes, I know it's a Thursday, but I just got a idea for the next chapter, and it was worth it! So I hope you've enjoyed this chapter!
