Sid's POV

I couldn't sleep the entire night after talking to Siya yesterday. The thought of meeting her today didn't let me sleep. Just the word 'excitement' cannot explain what I am feeling right now. I am exhilarated.

She asked me to meet her sharp at 10am at the library. It's 9:50 and I'm already standing outside the library waiting for her. I got ready at 9am but Aarav said it's too early and that I would look like a desperate man, so I stayed in my room until 9:40.

Even after 20 minutes when Siya didn't come, I decided to go inside and read a book. Honestly, I was disappointed. All my excitement died when she didn't show up. I was disheartened and to feel better I started reading the book 'Siddhartha' by Hermann Hesse. I prefer reading philosophical books over novels.

I kept on reading when I felt someone's presence around me. The familiar fragrance of jasmine engulfed my senses. I knew she was standing right here in front of me and I was about to look at her but wait.....she was supposed to be here half an hour ago and right now, I should be angry with her because she was late.

"Hey!" she said.

"You're late." I replied.

"Yeah about that, I am really sorry. I forgot to put an alarm. That's why I woke up late. But when I woke up, I ran to the washroom to take a bath and in the hurry, I accidentally started the shower. I wasn't planning to wash my hair but since my hair got wet, I had to wash them. And that took a lot of time. I'm sorry." She explained.

"Hmm." That was my reply. I didn't even look at her because I am supposed to be angry at her. But if I look at her now, my facade of being angry will fall off so it's better if I keep reading my book or atleast pretend to read.

"I promise I will never do that again."

"Hmm."

"I'll be on time tomorrow."

"Hmm."

"I'm sorry."

"Hmm."

And that moment she stood up from the chair and stormed towards me.

"What hmm? Are you a cow? Kabse sorry bol rahi hu. If you are angry, just scold me and if you have already forgiven me for being late, say so. I want words, Mr. Siddhant Mehra." She said angrily and right now she was looking like a fierce tigress ready to pounce upon her prey. But wait.... wasn't I supposed to be angry?

I looked at her with shock, amusement and fear too.

"Reply to me." She said.

"Hmm. Um no I mean yes, I have forgiven you. I am sorry." I said.

"Why are you saying sorry?"

"I don't know?"

"Anyways, let's start if you are done with this fake facade of being angry. Doesn't suit you."

She knows.

"Yeah, let's start."

We started studying and we were so lost in it that we didn't even realise when the clock struck 2pm.

"Let's go and eat something first. Then we can continue." I suggested.

"Sure, let me call Swati, Aarav and Raghav." She said and went away to call them while I closed our books and placed them properly on the table.

We went to the canteen where Aarav, Raghav and Swati were waiting for us. Swati was busy texting someone while Aarav was just staring at her mindlessly and Raghav was on a call.
