Author's POV

After yesterday's 'friendly' date, certainly a lot has changed. The misunderstandings have been cleared out but is it all?

Siya was sitting in the library reading a dark romance book having the most exotic smut in it. She was reading the toe-curling smut with a straight face as if she was reading some political news. She was completely lost in the book but what she didn't know was that she wasn't the only person reading it.

Sid, who came into the library five minutes ago, found her completely lost in the book. It's human tendency to become curious about things, so he stood right behind her to read what she's reading.

The entire library was quiet. Suddenly, everyone in the library snapped in the direction of Siya and Sid when Sid nearly screamed, "HE USED A GUN FOR WHAT?"

The librarian gave him a death glare which was enough to shut him up. Siya and Sid, both mumbled a sorry and Sid took a seat beside her.

"What is wrong with you? Why did you scream? And first of all, why were you peeking inside my book?" Siya asked irritatedly.

"What is wrong with me? Nothing is wrong with me. But a lot of things are definitely wrong with you. What is this stuff that you are reading? How do you even read such filthy things with a straight face? Pagal ho gayi ho kya? Psychiatrist se milna hai kya? Mil lete hai." Sid said while his face looked as if he was traumatised.

Siya took out her water bottle and handed it to him. He started drinking it while Siya said, "Stop overreacting. It's just a dark romance book. And smut padh hi toh rahi thi, you're behaving as if samne ye sab dekh rahi hu."

The moment these words left her mouth, Sid choked on the water and spat it out. Siya started rubbing his back while apologising to the people sitting around them who were not really enjoying all of this.

The librarian had enough of it and she kicked them out of the library.

"I got kicked out of the library because of you today." Siya said while side-eyeing Sid.

"Agar librarian ko pata chalta na ki tum kya padh rahi thi toh wo waise bhi tumhe bahar nikaal deti." He protested.

"Aur unhe kaun batane wala tha? Tum?" She said and started walking towards the Banyan tree in the campus. She sat down in the shady region and Sid took a seat beside her.

"Accha sorry, next time I'll make sure you don't get kicked out of the library because of me." Sid said, giving Siya a cheeky smile and her heart couldn't help but melt at the sight of his dimples.

"It's okay." She said and continued reading the book.

"But Siya, don't you have any decent novels to read?" Sid asked to which Siya sternly replied, "No."

He cleared his throat to gain her attention but failed, so he snatched her book which made her groan in frustration.

"Kya hai?" She asked.

"Since I've come, you are busy reading this book. If you are not in the mood to study, should I leave you alone with your book?" He asked, raising his eyebrows playfully.

"No, don't go. I'm not in the mood to study so let's talk."

"Okay. What do you want to talk about?"

"The books?"

"Oh please. I'm already traumatised. I mean who is he?"

"Meadows, baby."

Sid's heart skipped a beat as he thought she called him 'baby'.

He asked in confusion, "Huh?"

"Meadows, baby. Our last name is Meadows. It's a dialogue from the book." She cleared it out and he nodded.
