Game day

Eleni's Pov

I wake up to Carmen launching herself at my bed. With me in it. 

It's game day. 

I have just spent the day bringing Muffin for a walk and doing some baking whilst watching Gilmore girls (ofc). I mean it is Autumn. I then thought I would take a nap because I might not be home until later. Carmen came over to help me with my outfit. She has been to endless games because of Archie but I refused every time. I don't even know why. I think it's just because I never knew what was going on (not that I do now) and I just didn't really have any interest. The fact that the entire school is practically sitting on top of each other didn't help the old anxiety either. 

Carmen pulls me out of bed and shows me our outfits. They are matching. Adorable. 

She has got us both the school jerseys, hers with Archie's name and mine just plain. The jerseys are navy and white (like every piece of clothing in the entire uniform). The main jersey itself is navy and all the writing and numbers are white. Carmen paired it with straight leg low waisted jeans and a pair of ugg minis, each with little white bows tied onto the back. 

She then sits me down in front of the mirror and puts on our playlist consisting of:

And many more (yes we are aware it's a strange combo of songs to put together). 

She does a slick back ponytail. She then curls the hair in the ponytail (brushing it out to make it more wavy than curly) and she adds a little white bow to cover the hair tie.  She also does some natural makeup. She then does the exact same on herself and we are ready to go. 

Archie can't pick us up because the team had to go in early for a talk this morning so Carmens mum is going to take us. I haven't seen her in a while now that I think about it. 

She pulls up outside. 

"Hey girls you both look lovely"

"Thanks" we say in unison. 

We hop into the car and go

She starts driving. We arrive at the school which is already beginning to get busy, and we are early. We get out and start walking towards the pitch. The stands are probably a quarter full. All I know is it is going to be full due to it being the first game of the year. 

Due to the fact that it's a home game and the first game of the season the teaching staff decided to decorate the path to the football field .They added little fairy lights on the rails of the stairs going up the stands which look adorable because the match is in the evening so it's strait to o get dark. 

There is also blue and white garlands connecting all the food trucks that have been hired for the game. The are all parked in a little  circle with bench tables in the middle. There is a pizza truck, doughnuts truck , ice cream truck, hot dogs and fries truck and a fried chicken truck. 

It's so nice that the teachers would put their time and effort into making the day special for us. 

Just as we get in Carmen spots Archie and sprints towards him. I follow shortly after. Not running because I in fact don't have to (unlike yesterday). Once I finally catch up I stand beside Carmen. We catch up with Archie for a few minutes. Me and Carmen decide to get seats, good ones, we manage to get good ones just above the tunnel where the players come out. We sit down and are chatting for a while when we are met by Sara, Allie and Juliet. They join us.
