The Day

Eleni's Pov

It's the day of the winter ball. 

I'm in the school decorating the hall.  

Being part of the student council means going in before school and staying late after school to decorate or set up for anything whether you are part of the event or not . 

I desperately want to go. The place looks gorgeous, fairy lights and streamers hanging from all over the ceiling. We have made place cards for all the tables, there is a little vintage photo boot and everyone gets a white rose upon arrival. It's going to be beautiful. 

Considering our school is really old the features of the old design make the room look so elegant and not like we have spent the last few hours quite literally running around the place trying to be organised. 

I'm currently hanging some Polaroids on the inside of the mini Photo Booth for people to look at. I'm exhausted. 

We have been here since six this morning and it's now half past four. The school wouldn't let us set up any time but the day of the ball because apparently the hall was being used. 

Nobody has really had time to talk to each other because we have all been so busy so I haven't had any unwanted run ins with Jane. Thank the lord. 

Oliver and Archie are still hanging fairy lights and Carmen is adding flowers to the vases on the tables. 

I just want to go home. 

Everyone will be leaving to get ready soon anyways. 

I'm going to be doing Carmens hair and makeup. We have the whole look planed out. 

She is going to be prefect. 

It's around 4:45 when we all decide to leave, Archie is bringing Carmen and I home whilst Olly is making his own way home. 

Archie drops us at my front door and we hop out . 

"Don't look at my  Instagram incase you see my dress"  Carmen shouts down the front yard at Archie who has his window open. 

"Carmen it's not our wedding" he replies looking confused. 

"You just never know, it might be bad look" she says giving him a look. 

"Ok sweetheart I won't" he says driving off. 

We walk inside grab Muffin and go straight to my room. I have all the makeup and hair tools laid out so we are not wasting any time. Carmen washes her face while I put on some music and we get started. 

Carmens mum is very conservative so she really didn't want Carmen going crazy with the makeup. I decided to keep her look very natural, considering she is beautiful anyways. For her hair we did a super pretty 90s blowout. Carmen has layers in her hair so it looked amazing. 

I helped her get into her beautiful yellow dress. 

"Aww thank you Elle I love everything" she says doing a little spin. 

"Any time Caramel" I reply. 

That's when the photo shoot begins. I must have taken photos from about 400 different angles so she has lots to choose from. 

That's when Archie arrives. I open the door and let him in. 

His jaw drops. 

"Carmen I don't know what to say" he says looking her up and down. 

"You like it" she says with a genuine smile.

"I love it you look beautiful baby" he says taking her hand in his.
