Ariana and I finally admitted we're attracted to each other. a part of me feels like a horrible cheater but the other part of me just feels like Ariana and I are natural. I couldn't get over the way we kissed, I felt things I've never felt before. I almost... yk in my pants too. it's like I had been waiting for her to take control like that.

I decided to go Christmas shopping today before it was too late. I mean there were 2 more days left til Christmas. I decided to go to the mall and I grabbed a few things for everyone, even Ariana. I made sure to hide Cassidy's gift in a place I knew she'd never find it. oh yeah, Cassidy is back in town for Christmas. she had been since yesterday. she came later than she thought she would but she would still be here for closer to a month. she was coming over tonight just so we could spend some time together. it had been a few weeks since I had last seen her.

I got home and I opened the door to see my dad sitting on the couch.

"hey son, I was waiting for you. I gotta talk to you. I've been trying to but I can't seem to catch you. busy with school huh?" he stands up, gesturing for me to sit in the living room.

"oh yeah, I went Christmas shopping today tho. picked up a few things for everyone." I said, holding up the shopping bags I soon let fall onto the floor.

"well, I've been thinking. you know, you're an adult now and you're gonna be needing your own space and what not. you don't need to be sharing a bathroom with a teenage girl and- what I'm trying to say is I think it's time for you to move out." my dad finishes his sentence, waiting for a response it seems like.

"oh shit. I mean yeah but I don't have the money for that right now. I'm not ready for th-" my dad cuts me off, putting his hand up.

"I would never put you out on your ass. I got you an apartment. I thought about how you declined school housing so I figured I would get you a studio downtown, not too far from home. I paid for it and all you need to do is move in, I've saved up enough rent for a year until you can start taking on the fees on your own." my dad pulls a pair of keys and a piece of paper out hhis pocket. "it's all yours, the address is on this piece of paper. think of this as your early Christmas present."

I dropped my mouth. I was genuinely sick that my dad had done this for me. "early? there's more? dad how did you-"

"don't worry about any of that. I want you to be able to experience freedom because I didn't get to until I was in my 30's. you're a young man with a life. you deserve this." he puts his hand on my shoulder.

"wow. thanks dad. this means everything man." I pulled my dad into a hug and we both choked up together before my sister Reyna came down.

"this house is so weird." she says before walking back up to her room.

"when do you want to move in?" my dad ignores my sister's comment.

"after Christmas. I wanna enjoy this like the good ol days." I say, smiling up at my dad.

"That's totally fine kid." he pats my shoulder before walking upstairs. I follow, grabbing the shopping bags and taking them into my room.

Cassidy texted me letting me know she was on her way, so I got ready to spend some time with her. my dad was right about needing my own place, knowing that I have an apartment now made it feel weird for me to bring my girlfriend over here.

Cassidy pulled up outside. i I saw the lights on her car before she sent the text, I went outside to grab her.

"hi baby, I missed you so so much." she says as she wraps her arms around my torso.

"I missed you too baby." I kiss her gently.

"but I missed you more." she pecks my lips, causing her to smile and do it once more.

"that's basically impossible." I rub my nose against hers before bringing her inside. I had bought some things so we could have a movie night. popcorn, cookies, soda, chips, etc. all that was needed now was to pick a movie to watch.

we go upstairs to my room, snacks in hand. she sits on my bed, getting comfortable under the covers while I choose a movie to watch. I had a collection of dvds since I was a kid and I never got rid of them, I've even added more to the collection throughout the years. there's nothing like a good old fashioned DVD. I pop the disk in and let it play.

We watched the movie as we ate our snacks. we chose the movie insidious, I loved scary movies and Cassidy just loved to jump into my arms when she was afraid.

as the movie goes on, I notice Cassidy has been paying more attention to me than the film. I knew why but I didn't really have the urge to do that. I pretended to fall asleep before she tried to put her moves on me. I heard her sigh before she just turned over to go to sleep. my eyes shot open as soon as I realized she was asleep.
