The world slowed down and my heart stopped as I fell towards the ground. My eyes were locked with Drake's, as he stood at the top of the ladder watching in horror as I descended, I could hear myself scream and him shouting my name. Not that either could stop the fall, which I’m sure was going to hurt when I finally collided with the ground. I closed my eyes and braced myself for the impact, but when it came it wasn't at all what I expected.

The world sped up and I did collide with something, however it wasn't the rocky ground. I lay staring up at the surprised face of Drake, which quickly darkened as he began to climb down the ladder.

I heard movements beside me and a grunt as someone picked them self up of the floor and then I was being lifted of the ground and cradled to a warm chest, sparks flew across my skin at the contact and my heart sped up to an unhealthy rate as I looked into the eyes, which I can now say are a vibrant shade of blue, of the guy from the dance floor. If he wasn't holding me I would have had trouble supporting myself and may have turned into a puddle.

He is still wearing his black mask but now that I’m up close I can tell that he's older than me, 20, 21 maybe, I’m not sure. He has dirty blonde hair that just starts to creep over his ears and a fringe that stops just above his eyebrows. He has a strong jaw line that has dark stubble growing across it and as I get to his lips it's all I can do to not cross the short distance between us and kiss them. He has broad shoulders and from what I can tell strong arms because he is still holding me to his chest.

"Well that was a close one" he says in a sinful voice, it has a hint of anger to it but the overall effect just makes me shudder. His eyes roam over my face, either checking for damage or judging my appearance I’m not sure. I'm having a problem stringing words together so for the moment I just stare at him. "Don't talk much do you?" he says with a grin.

"My God Bells are you okay?" Drake shouts jumping from the last few steps and striding towards us. My saviour tightens his grip and I can feel him tense up at Drakes approach.

"Yeah, I'm fine, I mean my back aches a little from where I bashed into my knight in shining armour over here but other than that nothing" I say sending a weak smile in his direction.

"Yeah, it's lucky he was here, although I didn't think there was anyone else in the garden" he states and I can tell he is suspicious "why don't you pass her to me and I’ll take her inside where the doctor can have a look at her" he says edging forwards.

My saviour takes a step back putting space back between us and Drake and a low growl rumbles through his chest.

"What the hell do you think you're doing? Put her down and walk away. I'm really grateful you were here, without you this could have been disastrous, but I can take it from here" Drake is getting more and more worked up and I can see him begin to shake. I squirm in my saviours hold in an attempt to put my feet on the ground and reassure Drake, but his hold tightens. This was a mistake as Drake witnesses this and a loud angry growl tears from his throat. It's a sound I’ve never heard him make before and it was terrifying. He looks at me and something he sees must have struck a cord because he begins to calm down and the shaking subsides but he is still on his guard.

"What's going on down here?" Uncle Eddy calls from further up the path. I can hear his feet crunching as he runs in our direction. Another pair of feet hot on his heels. Great. Where ever Eddy goes my dad goes too.

As they enter the small clearing I can see them asses the situation, and Uncle Eddy rises to his full height. "Explanation" he states in his alpha tone.

"I was showing Bells the tree house and she fell off the side. This guy broke her fall, but now refuses to let her go" Drake sums up quickly.

My dad quickly turns to me on full alert "Bell are you okay?" there is concern in his eyes but there is also knowing. He edges forward and I can feel my saviour tense up once more. "I am her father and you will give her to me." It was a direct order and his tone was definitely threatening.
