Drake's P.O.V.

Throwing my phone across the room I swear loudly and can feel my whole body shaking as it begins the transformation. A firm hand on my shoulder has me spinning round growling at the intruder only to find my dad and Bell's dad, John, staring at me.

"What's wrong son? We heard your phone connect with the wall all the way from my office." My dad asks concern in his voice.

"I just got a phone call... it was from Bells" I reply, regaining my calm. Uncle John tenses. I can see the internal struggle taking place in his eyes. She has disgraced him by running away, if she doesn't return and soon she'll be disowned, shunned, and as Beta he will have to just move on, he can't argue with tradition. Yet I know John and he loves Bells so much, she has always been daddy's little girl. He is and always will be a father before a Beta and he must be hurting badly and worried sick. It may seem harsh for a pack member to be disowned by their own family, that's what a pack is after all, a family, but tradition runs deep and older members of the packs uphold it. People will begin to feel that she has dishonoured us and when there are enough people on that side they will vote her out. She then becomes free pickings for any other pack to take her in.

"What did she say?" John demands.

"Erm... well she said she has a job, she's living with two guys." Just like me I can see that John is taking this part badly, but I continue knowing he can control his emotions, he didn't become Beta by flipping out at the slightest piece of bad news. "But she told me to tell you, well everyone, that she's, erm... she's okay and that she's sorry." I stop and look at the two men in front of me.

"That's it?" John asks.

"Yeah, that’s it." I sigh "She hung up on me before I could get anything else." John spins around and punches the wall leaving a dint.

"John, don't worry. I have the best guys looking for her, you know that. I have also called around every other pack in the country who are looking out for her too. We'll find her." My dad says reassuringly, patting him on the shoulder. They have been best friends since childhood and if anyone knows how to help calm John it's my dad. Well him and Aunt Molly, Bell's mum. "Right first thing's first though" my dad continues "I want to trace that call."

An hour later we are in my dad's office. It's a huge room with puffy leather chairs and a large desk piled high with paper work. Shelves cover one wall and are stacked to bursting point with books. There are ornaments everywhere, presents from other alphas and from my dad’s trips around the world to other pack territories. I wasn't allowed in here as a kid because there are too many things I could have ruined. Behind his desk are too large photos. The one on the left is of me, my mother and dad, it's a very formal photo, me and my dad are in suits and mum had a dress made specially for it, there is another copy of it in the main hall for visitors to see. The one on the right couldn't be more different and it’s my favourite picture in the whole house. It's of me, my dad, my mum, Bells, Uncle John and Aunt Molly, it was taken two years ago, back when me and Bells were 16. We had all gone on holiday together  to Paris and it was taken in front of the Eiffel Tower. We all look so relaxed and so happy. I have another from the same trip of me and Bells, with the River Seine behind us, which I keep on the table by my bed.

We have the location of Bells' call to a town 1 hour and 40 minuets out of London. A place called Swindon.

"We will send about 3 shifters down to scout out the area and report back anything of interest." My dad has been coming up with a plan of action.

"So that will be me and two others." States John.
