She bent down to their height and hugged the two kids
Her eyes twinkled in humor as she let out a soft laugh
The two kids pointed at me and I stared at her beautiful hazel eyes and she stared back
"As salamu alaikum-" I said to her and Shumayll greeted after me
She took the two kids hands and walked towards us
"Wa alaikum mus salaam" she said softly avoiding my eyes
I sighed
What had I done wrong?
"Shumayll-" said Shumayll introducing himself to Ruqayyah
"Ruqayyah" she said and Shumayll smiled
"You have amazing siblings Ruqayyah-" said Shumayll and Ruqayyah let out a soft chuckle
"They are not my siblings- they are my kids!" She said as the two kids set on the bench munching their ice cream
"My apologies- i did not know-" said Shumayll looking at me and i stood there motionless
When ammi used to say that heart break hurts, now i know what it feels like.
My body felt weak, my neck was stiff and my head throbbed
Shumayll, seeing my state held my back
"Masi called and she wants us home-" he said and I nodded
"Allah hafeez Zahi and Zaik" I said forcing a smile and they nodded before hugging me and walking to their ammi
Walking back to the car, I felt that my body was growing weaker every moment
The blood throbbed in my head as we walked
Finally reaching the car, I collapsed
There was nothing I could do
She was gone...
Hack she was married!
With two kids....
I rested my head on the head rest and sighed deeply
I needed my room, my bed and an aspirin
"Home?" He asked and I nodded
Sitting up straight I let out a heavy breath
"Don't let ammi or Iqra see my condition- They can't know about this" I said in a shaky breath
He nodded before dialling some number
"As salamu alaikum" he said before smiling
"Please ask Iqraams family for the dinner tonight?" He said and I stared at him
"Yes since Iqraam and I are busy I was hoping masi and Iqra could be with you people? Please ammi?" He said and grinned
"Thanks yes Allah Hafeez" he said and hung up
"Your family is at my place, dinners there- will return at night- about meeting Iqra, something came up so she left..." he smiled
I nodded
"Jazak Allah bro"I said and he smiled before starting the car
We headed home and as soon as I reached home, I took a shower
