The race
There was a horse race in Tahiti this weekend and I was participating in it
The elevators of the building stopped and the doors opened
Wiping my hands in my handkerchief for like the thousandth time, I walked to Ruqayyah's apartment with Iqra trailing behind
"Bhai chill" she said and I smiled
"Sure it's not your love story that might end within seconds!" I said and she smirked
"Love story huh?" She smirked again
I felt my body heat rise

Now I was a nervous wreck!
Ringing the bell, i heard faint sounds of the kids bickering
Ruqayyah opened the door and her eyes widened
"As salami alaikum" I said
"Wa alaikum mus salaam" she replied
"Please come in!" She said as she moved out of the doorway
She hugged Iqra and they walked inside leaving me hanging at the door
Something tugged my hand and I looked down to see the little Zahi grinning at me with her front tooth missing
I picked her up in my arms and she giggled
"Ayyyeee where is your tooth?" I asked her
Giggling she put her tiny hands on her mouth.
"Nwo Idsea!" She said and I chuckled
Walking into the living room, I greeted Zaik and he gave me a thumbs up while playing GTA
I know that game coz it's my favorite
"May I speak to you?" I asked Ruqayyah and she nodded
Putting Zahi down beside Iqra on the couch, I walked towards the balcony
"I will get something to drink for both of you!" Said Ruqayyah
"No" Iqra and I said in unison and Ruqayyah gave us a weird look
"We will... uh... be leaving soon, it's okay" I said and Iqra agreed
"Okay..." said Ruqayyah as she walked towards me
