sometimes the heart sees what is invisible to the eyes

----------

Iqraam

The next morning, I stood at the front of my desk, leaning on it as I waited for Ruqayyah to show up

She said she would meet me in the conference hall

My conference hall was sound proof and closed off from the outside world... well except the huge glass that showed off the whole city

She door opened and she walked inside closing the door behind her

I had told Mark we were discussing am important deal and that I must not be disturbed

Hey this is an important deal!

"As salaam!" She said

"Wa alaikum mus salaam" i replied motioning for her to sit

I stared at her as she fiddled with her pen

"You see that was why i told you that you cant love me" she said, her voice barely a whisper but I heard it alright...

"How?" I asked her

"He just... left..." she replied looking down

"Just left? Who was he?" I asked her

"Sir- I d-dont think-" she said, her voice panicking as she looked up to meet my eyes

"Ruqayyah who is he?" I asked her

"Musawwir Omar" she replied

Musawwir Omar.... do I know him?

"Occupation?" I asked her

Her eyes flared

"I don't think I would like you to know about my past and personal life" she said and I stared at her

She had a point

"Fine... but please know that the fact that you we're once married, now divorced, and have two children will not stop me from trying to get you to marry me!" I said, my hands in a fist

She stared at me

Oh....

Did I just say marry her?

Wallah!

"Who are you? How do you know about me?" She asked me

"Ruqayyah, i know about you, the fact that he left you even after knowing you were with his child! Who does that?" I said and she stared at me

"How- how do you know?" She asked me

"I am sorry Ruqayyah, but I did a through research on you- and believe me when I say I know a lot about-" I said and she interrupted me

"You have no idea about my life... you have no idea why he left, you have no idea how I brought up my kids and you definitely have no idea how I am living.... so please Mr. Ibrahim, leave me alone! Your feelings for me is just an infatuation that will fade away with time... love and me? No way... please understand my situation, I need this job!" She said

I stared at her

It was true, the reports did not say all those.... I just wanted to know if she was married or not....

"Hold up- this job is yours- I never said I would fire you if you did not say yes or something, I keep my profession and personal life separate and as for my feelings, I think it's more than just some infatuation, and yes, you are worth love and happiness! Hack you are worth the whole world!" I said and she looked away
