“I know who really are.” Athena whispers really low so even other werewolves won’t be able to hear beside me. “Cherry, no, Lady-Lou Cruz”

My eyes bugged out and my jaw dropped as I stare at her stunned. I’m screwed! I chant in my head over and over again.

There were millions of things running in my mind.

If she realise who I am, then the others must have known. But Ken and Kathleen shouldn’t act like that, maybe she’s the only one who knew but that means she’s here to blackmail me or…or…

Athena’s soft giggles snap me out of my thoughts as I look at her like she gone crazy. “I’m not here to blackmail you if that’s what you’re thinking.” She said.

“Then why are you here?” I couldn’t help but snap at her. I never really like playing mind games with other people.

“I just want to be friends.” She said calmly not even bothered that I snap at her.

“If I said no, what are you gonna do about it?” Impatiently I tap my foot in rhythm.

She looks thoughtful for a second. “Then that means no, I won’t be surprise if you don’t want anything to do with me or this pack after what they done to you.”

I frown. “So you know about that too?”

“I know more than you thought.” Athena said not even sounding smug.

I sigh. “Well do what you want.”

Athena smiles and jumps in excitement. “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!”

I chuckle and shake my head. Is it really a big deal for her to be my friend? I thought as I watch her in amusement. “You have no idea how much I wanted you to be my friend!”

“Enlighten me then.” I said, smiling.

“Well, to be honest, I wanted to be your friend since you were still here but Bruce strongly disapproves of it and whatever he wants always get what he wants.”

I roll my eyes at that. Sounds like Bruce alright. I thought. “That’s why I wasn’t allowed to go out of the pack house or my room when there’s a pack meeting. Well, not until I sneak out one day and bump into Joey, who was running late that night.”

“What an asshole.” I mutter. “Why would he lock you in your room?”

“He’s really overprotective, worse that our dad!” She giggled. “I was really happy when I heard he found his mate though, so I get less of it but then again I learn that Joey was my mate and pretty much he was as bad as my brother.” She frown, clearly disappointed.

“Cherry! Dinner!” Arvin shouts making me roll my eyes and Athena to giggle.

“Are you two going out?” I couldn’t help but laugh at that before shaking my head slightly.

“His like an older brother to me. He’s the one who found me and introduce me to the pack…” I trail off remembering that day. “At first he thought I was his mate but I already found mine so…” I said not wanting to finish that sentence.

Athena seems to realise my hesitation because she happily drop the subject as she link her arm to mine. “Let’s go eat! I’m starving!” I was of course grateful and happily I obliged.

Dinner was boring. Ken and Kathleen went home and didn’t stay for dinner, the girl who called me ‘hot’ and which I recently learn was called Sam was one of Alex ‘toy’ and was replace by a different girl called Jade who I swear giving Alex a hand job under the table.
