Part 30: baby 👶

Sapphire's POV

"Just wait a little longer to push." Stacie said.

I was now dressed , Laying on the bed with my legs up.

"Why?" I asked staring at her like she was crazy.

"Please just wait to push." She said with begging eyes.

I groaned in pain from the contraction I was having. "I don't think I can wait any longer this baby is ready to come out now" I said gripping her hand tightly.

"All I need is a few minutes." She said.

"For what?" I asked.

"You'll see." She said quickly dropping my hand and leaving the room.

I can't believe she just left me like that.

I hear the door open and close and I looked up to see Stacie and Chris.

There were doctors walking around my room getting ready.

"I'm here to see the birth of my child." He said.

I rolled my eyes "it wasn't your child eight months ago." I said.

"Miss. Young are you ready to give birth?" My doctor asked.

Another contraction had hit. "Yes I am ready!" I said.

"Okay good." He said.

My legs were still up in the air everyone was gathered around me.

"Okay I want you to take deep breaths." He said.

I took a couple of deep breathes.

"When I count to three I want you to push as hard as you can." He said.

"Okay." I said holding on to Stacie's hand as Chris watched.

Chris was acting completely normal like he had seen this all before it was so strange.

"1...2...3!" He said.

I began pushing with everything I had.

It hurts so bad.

"That was good we're gonna need you to push harder." He said.

"I was pushing as hard as I can!" I yelled at him in pain.

"Okay. 1..2..3!" He yelled again.

This time I pushed a little bit harder. I heard screams.

"OMG." I yelled out of pain and excitement.

"Okay one more time." The doctor said.

"Come on Sapphire you can do this." Chris said grabbing on to my other hand.

I smiled.

"1..2..3!" The doctor yelled.

I pushed again harder then before.

I heard the baby screams.

"Congratulations you just have birth to a healthy baby boy." The doctor said.

I screamed out. "Yes!" I had a huge smile on my face.

"Will the baby's father like to cut the umbilical cord?" He asked.

I looked at Chris and he looked at me with pleading eyes. I nodded in approval.

I swear he had the hugest smile on his face ever. He took the scissors from the doctor and cut the cord.

The doctor cleaned the baby off , wrapped him in a blanket , & handed him to me.

He was so small , had the most biggest brown eyes ever , & he was perfect 😻

I held his small body in my arms and kissed his forehead.

"I love you so much , I will never give up on you , you're gonna be my everything." I whispered in his ears.
