make sure that you have all of the stuff that you need already laid out. As soon as you get off stage start taking out your hair, have your friend or changing buddy already in the dressing room ready to go, so as soon as your hair is out, they can start....

Like I remember one time where I had to change my Hair from a high bun to two French braids, I had two people braiding my hair at the same time.

My advice would be to do your costume first, that way it does not mess up your hair.
