A/N - This is loosely based around the lyrics to two songs: 'Moved on' by Jimmy Aldridge and Sid Goldsmith, and 'Hometown Glory' by Adele. Hope you all enjoy it!

The great hall of Winterfell was not what you had expected; it was dark and cold and the complete opposite of anything you would ever find in King's Landing. You were hardly listening to your maid's gossiping, shivering too greatly to pay attention to anything. "Why on earth would anyone ever choose to live this far North? It's so tediously bleak up here," you interrupted their chatter, causing them all to fall silent as they listened intently to you.

"The Starks have lived up here for centuries, Princess. I doubt they even feel the cold anymore," one of the girls said, nodding towards the top table. She was right, none of them had pink noses or rose tinted ears like you did, and not one of them even seemed to notice that it was as cold in the big room as it was outside in the snow.

"Well I think it's stupid; if it's this cold in the summer imagine how horrific it would be in the winter," you hummed out, pulling your furs closer around your shoulders and attempting to fight back a shiver as you stared around the room. You locked eyes with the oldest Stark boy and gave him a nod accompanied with the largest smile you could muster, though you were pretty sure it looked more like a grimace as your teeth chattered. You watched as he got to his feet and took a few strides in your direction.

"Princess Y/N, you seem a little distracted," he started as he sunk into the seat opposite you, giving you the sweetest, most genuine smile you had ever seen. In King's Landing those were a lot less common. You weren't used to people being truly friendly; they all wanted something from you and it often caused you to cut yourself off from those around you. But Robb's smile was kind, it was a true smile, you could tell.

"I'm just a little cold, nothing to worry about, My Lord," you uttered, your own smile coming freely to your lips. You could feel your Mother's eyes on you as you spoke, and your smile faltered a little as you turned to look up at her. She had not been pleased when you decided to sit among the people, like your father had, and you knew it drove her half mad how similar you were to him; the only one of her children that looked and behaved like a Baratheon in any way.

"I can find you another fur if you're cold, Princess," Robb spoke softly, drawing your attention back to him and bringing back your smile.

"I'm sure I'll be fine. Thank you Robb," you answered him, tilting your head to the side as you thought. "Perhaps we could go for a walk, I'm sure moving would warm me up somewhat," you added and he gave you an enthusiastic nod as you both got to your feet, headed for the door. As you got there you were stopped by your uncle Jaime who gave you a weak smile. A King's Landing smile.

"Your Mother told me not to let you out; it's too cold for you to go wandering tonight," he hummed to you, causing you to roll your eyes at him.

"Uncle Jaime," you started, giving him a soft smile before continuing. "It's not that cold, and I'm sure Robb would make sure I made my way back safely; I already saw Uncle Tyrion go outside and he will also keep me from being buried in that nasty snow," you told him with your eyebrows arched. "You can tell my Mother that if she has orders for me she can give them to me directly," you added before pushing through the door and out into the snow.

As you crossed the snowy courtyard, you gave a quick wave in the direction of your other drunken uncle who looked to be bothering Lord Stark's bastard with some story or another. He had always been good at lecturing, and even better when he'd been drinking, so tonight the poor boy would be in for an earful of how the 'Imp' was treated so poorly as a child. As tragic as his childhood was, and how cruel your Grandfather could be with him, it was only interesting the first few times, after that it all seemed to drone on. In fact that was the case with a lot of your family, repeating all the things they had already told you, the only person you could truly stand was your father, and maybe Tommen and Myrcella, but they were just children.
