THE CLOCK made a disturbing sound that interrupted her peaceful sleep. She lazily got up to bed and turned off the alarm clock. She yawned and scratched at the back of her head.
Kagigising niya nga lang pero gusto niya na ulit bumalik sa paghiga. Ngunit wala rin siyang magagawa at tumayo na para mag-ayos.
Today was Saturday. Last night was so wild that she still couldn't contain how tired she was. She went back home without eating anything and just slept. Her mother also woke up when she entered the house yesterday and asked if she wanted to eat anything, but she declined and just went to bed.
Pagod siya at alam niya sa sarili niya ngayon na pagod pa rin siya. Ngunit wala rin siyang magagawa at kailangan niya pa ring magtrabaho lalo na't hindi pwede iyon. She have to work in order to get paid.
Today's a Saturday. It's only one of the two days, the Saturdays and Sundays she could get a lot of money. Kung hindi siya magtatrabaho ngayon at pipiliin niyang bumalik ulit sa pagtulog, wala siyang makukuhang pera.
Ah, it sucks to be someone who has no money.
Kinakailangan niyang magtrabaho dahil magko-college na rin siya. And speaking of college, even though her strand was one of the best strands, it feels like she couldn't get into a university. Alam niya dahil sa mga shared post ng mga kaklase sa mga social media accounts nila. Pakiramdam nga niya, walang unibersidad ang magpapasok sa kaniya lalo na't puro STEM-related courses ang nabibigyan ng mas maraming opurtunidad sa pag-aaral at pagta-trabaho.
Napabuntong hininga na lamang siya. Ke-aga-aga ay namomroblema siya sa mga bagay-bagay. Hindi niya naman sana dapat pag-problemahan ang mga ganoong bagay, pero hindi niya rin mapigilan ang sarili. Sino ba naman ang hindi mamroblema sa mga ganoong bagay lalo na kapag 'yong kinabukasan mo 'yong pinag-uusapan dito?
However, there was something she had been looking for, yet her foresight for it was still blurry. There is no doubt her future has no pathway and she does not know where to go. Alam niya sa sarili niya kung saan siya pupunta pero parati na lamang siyang naliligaw at sa huli ay mapapaisip kung ano ba talaga ang para sa kaniya at kung saan talaga siya mismo pupunta.
Nag-ayos na lamang siya ng kaniyang sarili at lumabas na sa kwarto.
She was yawning non-stop when she went outside from her room.
"Mama?" Unang salita na lumabas sa kaniyang bibig. Alam niya sa sarili niya na wala na ang kaniyang ina at nasa trabaho na pero nagbabakasakali siya lalo na't ito na ang nakasanayan niya dati pa.
She went into the kitchen and found a note sticking on the refrigerator.
