Try To Keep Up

A few weeks had passed by, and things were slowly changing. Bellamy and Gina weren't dating, at least that I knew, and officially. She still hung out with us and we were friends, I hoped. Bellamy had chosen to ignore that incident. I tried to too but I still wanted to dig a hole and hide in it whenever I thought about it. Miller and Bryan had started to date and I really liked Bryan, he was really sweet. I was betting Monroe and Sterling had something going on but they hadn't told us anything.

I had started to go on some expeditions with them when I had days off the distribution center, which happened to be today.

"Hey, boys," I greeted as I approached the Rover.

Monty and Jasper were there, Jasper didn't seem all that sober and Monty was certainly very done. Bellamy was talking to Gina, and I waved at them.

"Take care of them, don't let them do anything too stupid," She told me, joking.

"Like I can stop them," I joked too.

"She's the worst of us," Bellamy joined.

"Ah ah very funny," I rolled my eyes.

Bellamy smiled as he threw something on top of the Rover.

"Hey, take it easy!" Raven was under it and come out, seeming pissed.

"Good morning to you too," Bellamy joked.

"Lighten up, Reyes, at least we're getting out of here," I smiled at her.

Miller arrived and grabbed a gun. "What's the point if we can't shoot them?"

"We can, but we shouldn't," I grabbed one too, even tho my aim still sucked.

"Actually, we can. Just not to kill. That goes for everyone." Bellamy warned. "Where's Octavia?"

"We're going outside the wall. You honestly think she'd miss that?" Miller smirked.

"You know she would rather go on the organic rover," I joked, talking about the horse.

I heard the sound of water splashing followed by Monty's voice, "Sorry, was that too cold?"

Jasper pinned Monty to the Rover, I quickly stepped forward.

"Calm down," I told him.

He let go of Monty and Bellamy quickly approached him.

"No gun for you, not until you're sober."

"Don't want one," Jasper answered, pretending to salute him and hitting him in the face.

"When will he stop acting like a child?" Raven asked me.

"When I finally replace all his alcohol for water," I joked, but feeling really bad for him. "Let's go."

"Sorry I'm late," Finn arrived, finally.

"Next time I'll leave you here," Bellamy warned.

"You need me more than I need you," He entered the Rover.

"Someone did not wake up in a good mood," I whispered and got in the Rover too.

In no time we were all inside it, ready to go. Monty and Jasper were arguing for whatever reason.

"Children, please behave," I said.

"Raven... Take us out," Bellamy told her.

Raven started the Rover and the doors opened, revealing Octavia in a horse, ready to go.

"Oh, look, it's the organic Rover," I laughed.

"Try and keep up," Octavia screamed and I couldn't help but laugh.

In no time we crossed the camp and were out of the borders, going on our little adventure. It felt so good.

"But the day, after today," I heard Jasper singing, with earphones on.

I looked at him raising an eyebrow. If he was singing that it meant season 3 as about to start, and my peace was over, for a long while.

Monty grabbed his earphones and pulled them out. "If you're gonna ride shotgun, you can't just disappear."

Jasper plugged his iPod to the Rover. Monty tried to protest but Bellamy stopped him.

"It's okay, it's a long ride," Bellamy said.

"Besides, it's a nice song," I smiled.

Monty looked very tired, but the rest of us were starting to get really into the song. Miller was even playing drums in the air.

"Why can't I get just one kiss? Why can't I get just one kiss?" I sang along with Jasper. "There may be some things that I wouldn't miss, but I look at your pants and I need a kiss."

I couldn't help but look at Bellamy, as a joke as I sang that part, with a smirk on my lip. We all kept singing as we kept on getting further away from Arkadia. Jasper got on the roof's window, singing and screaming.

Raven saw something on the monitor, while the song was still on, and stopped the Rover and the song, making Jasper come down.

"Hey, that was the best part." He complained.

"It's a beacon from the Ark," Monty said.

"Who is that?" Bellamy asked.

"Farm station," Monty read. It was his family. I knew thing were about to get really bad.

"After four months, how?" Miller asked.

"We'll find out. Where are they?" Bellamy took the lead.

"Don't tell me I missed the party." Octavia opened the Rover's doors.

"Sector 8," Monty explained.

"Ice Nation..." I whispered.

" What about it?" Octavia was lost.

"Protocol says we go home. Let the Chancellor decide what to do next," Raven looked at Bellamy, waiting for what he'd have to say.

"Screw protocol," Bellamy answered. "The Chancellor's not from Farm Station, Monty is so is."

"So is Bryan," I looked at Miller.

"It's your call," He looked at Monty and Miller.

"Let's do this," Monty answered.

"You have to ask?" Miller said.

"Try to keep up," Bellamy looked at Octavia, joking.

Octavia didn't seem amused. She closed the door to the Rover and Raven quickly started it again.
