I've been on three dates with Beau Ellington and somehow he just gets sweeter.

The morning after our horrific date I came home to flowers all over my front porch and a note that assured me he had a great time. Our do over date was Wednesday, we went to another movie.

I wish I could say what it was about but I didn't watch much of it.

Our last date ended with him asking me to homecoming. I was so surprised by the balloons filling up my room that I almost forgot to say yes.

Now I'm out shopping with mom, Lena and the boys.

"Mom." Garner whines, coming out of the dressing room in a full suit. "I'm not wearing a tux to the dance."

"No, but I need your measurements for Drew's wedding and this was a good day to get it done." She reminds him, holding up two different ties to compare to a picture of Gentry's dates dress.

I stifle a laugh at his pained expression, he flips me off.

"Jovie, darling, try on this dress." Lena calls and I wander around, finding her with a dark navy dress in hand.

"Thats..." So not my style but she's already shoving me to the female dressing rooms on the other side of the store.

Putting the dress on just so I can make her happy, I get a call. "Hello, handsome."

"What're you doing, Jo?" Beau asks.

"Trying on homecoming dresses." I inform him, putting the call on speaker so I can zip the dress up.

"Can I see?"

"Now where's the fun in that?" I tease, flattening the fabric out before turning around.

Whoa.

It's perfect. The satin fabric cuts down in the front, actually accenting all of my figure. Sheer sleeves cup at my wrist while silver detailing is perfectly woven across the dress.

I look gorgeous.

"Jojo, your mom's looking for you."

"Aspen's with you?" Beau asks and I fumble to take the call off speaker.

"Yeah, we're out with his mom and brother." I say, still twirling infront of the mirror. "Why?"

"Nothing, I just wish I was the one there instead."

I smirk, "You'll see me soon enough."

"I've got to go, I'll see you later." He says, ending the call.

Flatting the skirt, I have the living day lights scared out of me when the curtain is thrown open.

"What the hell are you doing?" I hiss, scowling at Aspen.

"Trying to find you, what the hell are you wearing?"

"My homecoming dress." I tell him proudly.

"Allie!" He shouts, heading for our families. "Your daughter's gone insane."

Running after him, I stop in front of our moms who all but gush over my dress.

"You were right, it's perfect." Mom tells Lena, snapping a picture of me.

"Mom, you chose this?" Aspen demands, flailing his arms to me.

"Of course, dear, Jovie has a boyfriend this year. She deserves to look beautiful."
