Heaven.

No other words could describe how perfect this moment was for me.

I was away from all the bullshit of my family and all the drama they caused me. My mind was all over place when my Mum called me.

'Sorting things out?' What kind of fucking shit is that? You're gonna make up with the man that used to beat me up every night because he felt like it?

She didn't really know the extent of what he did, she just knew about the broken arm and the couple of bumps and bruises that clothes couldn't fully hide.

And then she came along.

The biggest, most annoying ray of sunshine just pushed right on in and changed me for the better.

She used to infuriate me when we first met, always getting under my skin and doing stupid things. The fire that happened at the school solidified it for me, she just went in there, not even thinking about the risks and followed straight after me.

Such a stupid thing to do, but she did it anyway.

Even though the sun had pretty much gone down and the sky was almost black, I could still make out her eyes. Those bright green lights that could suck any one into them.

The way that she played with my hair at any chance she got, I wasn't used to having someone cherish me as much as she did.

Yea I'd had girlfriends in the past, but they were all from the wrong crowd and made me feel worse rather than better. I was so angry back then, all the hate and rage from my Father and smothering from my Mum I just wanted to lash out at everything and everyone I met.

I didn't even like the girls I was with, they just wanted the attention from me so they could show me off to their friends. I didn't think I could even learn to love someone until now.

Holding onto her right now made me want to never let go. I've never appreciated someone until now, Eliana made me feel like a better person.

I didn't even ask her to, and she didn't even have to try to make me feel better, she just did it by being herself.

I was planning on going through the next 2 years quietly, passing through school, taking the money I had saved up and moving to a different country altogether. Now, I was just happy that I had someone else to go with me.

"Are you sure you're feeling better?" She asked, her fingers playing delicately with my hair.

Even though she had already asked, and was constantly making sure that I was ok, I still couldn't put it into words how much better she made me feel.

Gently pulling her forward until her chest was pressed against mine, I pushed my face forward so I could kiss her. I could never give enough of Eliana's kisses, each one made me feel more and more alive.

After a few moments, Eli pulled away and giggled a little "I'll take that as a yes then?"

I couldn't help but laugh with her, the sweet tones of her voice were like music to my ears.

"Yes." I couldn't describe to Eliana how calm she made me feel. Back at the dance hall, I wanted to trash the whole place when my Mum came and spoke to me, but just knowing that Eli was there and that she had my back made me feel so much better. She managed to anchor me to calmness.

Despite how cold the water was, all I could feel was warmth around me, from Eliana and from the feeling inside of me.

I did start to feel bad though as I could feel Eliana shaking in my hold, I guess the cold was affecting her a little bit more than me. Well, she was only a small girl so I'm not surprised.

"Come on, lets head back to the car and get warm." I turned around, the water swirling around us as I moved. The further towards the beach I got, the tighter Eliana's grip became since I was having to use actual strength to hold her up now that the water wasn't helping me.

She was still light as a feather to me, and she knew that I could easily hold her, but she still gripped on a little tighter.

By the time I made it back to the sand, Eliana was holding onto me like a sloth hugging onto a tree. She could have easily let go and walked back to the car but her legs around my waist didn't budge so I just carried on towards the car with her head nestled into my neck.

As I made it to the car, Eliana slowly unraveled her legs from around me and I gently set her on her feet.

They way her body was shivering as I moved to open the car door was completely unmissable and I couldn't help but feel bad.

I grabbed my hoodie out from the backseat from where I chucked it before and handed to her, hoping it would at least warm her up a little bit more.

The hoodie practically swallowed her up as she pulled it over her head and she couldn't look any more adorable wearing my clothes.

"Thanks." Her voice trembled as she spoke and she shoved her hands into the pocket of the jumper instantly to warm her hands up.

"Go sit down, and get comfy, I'll join you in a sec." I needed to wipe off the sand from my feet before I got back in the car. Making my way to the boot, I pulled out one of the blankets that I kept stored away and began wiping my feet and legs.

"Hey Leo, your phones ringing!" Eliana called out from the front seat and I sighed. Why did people always have to bother me?

"Answer it and tell them I'll call them back." I replied, finishing off on my left foot and chucking the blanket back into the car and shutting the boot.

As I joined Eli back in the front of the car, I sat down just as she hung up the phone.

"Who was it?" I questioned, switching the car on and whacking the heaters onto full.

When I finally turned to look at Eliana, her expression was uneasy and I couldn't help but frown.

"It was uh, some guy called Ryan, he's wondering if you're around to pick up?"

Shit. I knew that this was gonna come around and bite me in the ass. Ryan was one of my customers for a the past few weeks from when I used to deal.

I say used to deal because I can't remember the last time I ever sold any. Actually scratch that, the last time I did was when Eliana was with me in the alley way. That was nearly a month ago.

I'd hoped the customers I had would forget about me and not bother asking since I hadn't been around here long, but I guess people need their fix.

"Eli, listen to me when I say this, I haven't done anything to do with that for a long time now. People still have my number so they will try and call every now and then." I hoped the sincerity in my voice was believable, because I knew it was something that she didn't particularly like.

She went quiet for a moment, her head falling down slightly so her hair covered over her face. After a moment she relaxed back into her seat, her head raising back up.

"Don't worry, I believe you." A half smile made its way onto her lips and I couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief.

"How can you be such an understanding person? I don't get it." I couldn't get over, Eliana never judged me like other people did, she might have at first but as our relationship grew, she understood me like no one else did.

"I don't know... I guess I just have a soft spot for you." She finished her sentence with a killer smile that I couldn't help but copy.

Jesus... What did I do to deserve you?
