Zoe's P.O.V

I let out a sleepy hum, the feeling of someone caressing my hair waking me up. I didn't even have to open my eyes to know it was Tyrone.

The familiar scent of his masculine perfume wafting in my senses. I opened my eyes, my hazel ones clashing into his brown ones.

"Hi." Tyrone murmured, not once stopping the movement of his hand.

I looked away, settling my gaze unto his exposed collarbone instead."Hello." I answered softly.

"I'm sorry about what I said earlier." He started, his lips pulling down in a frown.

Shaking my head gently, I placed a hand on his rough cheek."No, I should be the one apologizing Ty. I'm sorry for not telling you the truth."

Deep down, I wasn't mad. I totally understand his reaction, Tyrone's been through a lot and I know it isn't easy seeing Aron.

He leaned into my touch, his eyes closing briefly."I understand radish. Aron told me everything, I-I forgave him." A small smile settling on his lips.

A flash of relief coursed through me, I was glad that they put aside their anger and actually talk it out.

I couldn't help but lean forward, pressing our lips together."I'm glad carrot. I'm so proud of you," I stated, staring into his orbs with a smile.

There are times that the only one that could truly help us heal from the pain are the actual people that hurt us. It is life's way of reminding us that being the bigger person helps lessen the burden we carry in our hearts.

"Why are you here though? How did you know where to find him?" I asked, my brows knitted.

"I was suspicious of his father, call it a gut feeling but I felt like he was hiding something so I used some of my connections to do my own investigation on Aron's whereabouts." He answered, his fingers gently massaging my scalp.

I nodded, letting out a small sigh."Is that why you went home earlier?" Pulling my hand away and played with the blankets.

"Yes, I was worried that he might move into another hiding place. That and I miss you." He pressed a soft kiss on my forehead.

"I miss you carrot." I smiled."I'd figured you'd call the police on him though, make them catch him on the spot." I though out loud.

Tyrone bit his lip, shaking his head gently."Deep down, I knew I had to talk to him first. I had to know his reasons. Aron isn't the type to resort to violence. He's all bark but no bite." He snorted, making me giggle.

"I could tell from the way his goons were the one doing all the beating up." I mused out."Have you met Casper?"

Tyrone nodded."Yeah, I did. He's a sweetheart."

I bit my lip."He is and I couldn't help but worry what would happen to him when both of his only family would be put into jail."

It's been running on my mind since I met him, He loves his older brother and I knew it'll break his heart when they're forced to be apart.

"I've been thinking about it too. I didn't know their mother died and we weren't friends when Casper was born so I didn't know about him." Tyrone replied, earning a nod of understanding from me.

"I-I don't want him to go into the system." I frowned, my thumb rubbing gently on his cheek.

"Don't worry radish. I'm already working on it," He smiled before pulling away and stood up from the bed.
