Later that afternoon, the dark clouds that had covered the sky since morning suddenly shed tears.
Shwaaaaaa!
the sound of pouring rain slowly filled the whole empire.
"Oh, it actually rained."
said the marchioness as she watched the rain fall from inside the tent.
"Mama, when is papa coming back?"
Victoria asked while rubbing her eyes with a yawn.
" Are you sleepy, baby? papa will be back soon."
the marchioness told Victoria as she gently stroke her hair.
While Victoria was laying on the bed almost asleep by the marchioness' touch Linda's voice was suddenly heard as she entered the tent with a horrid expression.
"My lady! my lady! It's horrible!"
"Why? what's wrong? What happened?"
"It's the marquess!
"What happened to my husband!?"
the marchioness asked as she quickly got up.
"The marquess was attacked by unknown men and is deeply wounded that he had lost a lot of blood!"
"What!? Oh my! where is he now!?"
"He's currently at the emperor's tent being treated by a physician."
At the midst of the intense conversation Victoria suddenly got up from laying on the bed since she was disturbed by the noise.
"Mama, what's wrong with papa?"
she asked while rubbing her heavy eyes.
the marchioness looked at her with a worried face but then faked a smile and said,
"Nothing baby, papa is with the emperor, but, mama needs to go out for a while to see papa right now, so, you must stay here with Linda and be a good girl, alright?"
at her words Victoria nodded without asking why and answered,
"Alright."
and so, the marchioness kissed Victoria's forehead and quickly took a shole together with an umbrella.
"Linda, please watch over her for a while, I'll be quick."
"Yes, madam."
the marchioness said as she hurriedly got out of the tent.
but after her shadow was gone, Linda's expression suddenly turned dark as she took a dagger out of her pocket.
"I'm sorry marchioness."
she whispered as she slowly turned towards Victoria.

the marchioness remarked as she stood restlessly in front of the emperor's tent with a pale face.
"Marchioness, you are not allowed to go in without permission."
one of the knights who was guarding outside stopped Lady Lucila.
" I'm sorry, but, I need to see if my husband is alright."
she responded to the knight with a trembling voice.
"What's happening here!?"
the emperor who was disturbed by the ruckus suddenly got out of the tent.
