Amyrah

"Amyrah!!!" I heard three voices screaming. Thankfully my ear didn't get too damaged.

"Oh my gosh! You guys?"

"Obviously."

"Who else?"

"Yep."

Three replies shoot at once. Disadvantages of conference call.
"Yeah..." I grinned.

"How are you?"

"Did you forget us already?"

"I missed you."

Geez.. "Good. Nop. Thanks. How are you all?"

"Great, coz I got 86%!" Humaira screamed.

"Beyond fine, I just passed with 75%," Zehra exclaimed happily.

"Sad! I just got 97% in total! I was expecting much more!" Bushra wailed.

"What are you'll talking about?" I asked shocked.

"Results idiot."

"Results!!! You all got your results? What the heck? How come I have no idea what mine is!?" I screamed typing in my tab furiously, searching for the school website.

"Oh come on!"

"Just say it already."

"Don't joke duh," they said nonchalantly, making me want to slap them, really hard.

"Do you think I am joking!? I seriously have no idea! Stupids! Urgh...just shut up! Oh my gosh.. bismillah, subahanallah, YA ALLAH!!" I stared at my tab.

TOTAL : 78%
     PASS

"I passed," I muttered. Should I be happy or not?

"Average?" Zehra asked.

"78%."

"Why are you sulking yaar?"

Sulking? I frowned and giggled, screaming with joy, "Oh my Allah! I passed!!"

"Me too!!"

"Count me in!"

"I just got 97% guys!"

"Shut it up, Bushy."

And then we spoke for hours laughing like maniacs and telling stories which dosen't make sense whatsoever.

"Hey you know I am starting a fashion designing course next week," Humaira said suddenly.

"That's cool. I am going to go to college," Zehra said proudly.

"Wow! I am learning psychology.. in the same school mommy taught," Bushra said shyly.

It was silent after that. I realized that they were all waiting for my reply. I realized that they've already planned their future, but me? What had I done? Just nothing.. I had just slept..what Ammar said was true..

"Really? Wow.." I said, a small part of me hoping they were just joking.. but after a second or two I said, "I am planning to teach in a nearby school."

"Teach?"

"That's great!"

"You're one step ahead of us."

Oh.. if only they knew.

"You know, maybe my brother or my driver will drop me to college, as we are just 15 minutes away from your house, he could drop both of us! In that way we could meet too.. Which school will you be going to?" Zehra asked excited.
