walking into the hotel set in a lot of realization.

being back home in jersey, but for the worst reasons possible. tomorrow you'd have to face the inevitable of seeing your entire family for the first time in 6, and for some even more years. most of your family didn't really like you, they kinda considered you to be the black sheep of the family, mainly thanks to word of mouth from your mother and even jeff. plus moving out at 18 and going out to California, no college plan, no actual job plan, just 40 bucks to your name, and a backpack full of clothes. nobody really understood your plan, and probably still doesn't understand, hell you weren't even sure if you understood what your plan was.

you gripped your suitcase tightly and walked up to the front desk with Ray and signed in and got the keys to the room and went up to the room with him. you unlocked the door and went inside, setting your bag down on the floor and looking around at the room. it was actually nice, not trashy like most jersey hotels. maybe jeff did care enough to settle you into a nice place. you went over to the bed and collapsed onto it. Ray laid down next to you and took your hand in his,

"you know, I've been almost all over this whole state, but no matter where I go it'll always feel amazing coming back to Jersey," he said looking at the ceiling, if only you could feel the same love for Jersey, you simply nodded in agreement and gripped his hand. you looked at him and glanced over him, his shirt slightly riding up his stomach, his hair a mess on the bedsheets, he was just so serene laying down. it was probably going to be the one thing you'd miss the most about being around him if you were still planning on moving, was being able to lay next to him and sleep with him. he looked over at you and smiled a bit,

"Is there something you need?" he asked,  you smiled back and hesitantly moved on top of him and straddled him underneath you loosely, pinning your legs against his sides. he looked up at you with a confused look and held your thighs gently,

"what are you doing?" he asked, a small smile creeping over his expression, you matched his smile and leaned over on him, placing your hands on his chest,

"you know, I really appreciate what you did for me," you said softly, he gripped your thighs a bit tighter and rubbed along the backside of your thighs through your jeans,

"is that what's been going through your mind? because it's no big deal, id do anything to help you out, you know that" you nodded and gripped his shirt a bit and ran your hands down his torso, rubbing his chest slightly,

"it is a big deal, I mean I would still be planning to move back to jersey right now," you paused and your expression dropped a bit, "I know I should have told you from the start, I'm sorry about that, but I just didn't know how to tell you about it," you said softly, he dug his fingers into your legs a bit and frowned slightly with a sigh,

"just don't think about that anymore, I get it, it was a big thing,"  he rubbed the back of your leg, god he was so sweet. you curled your hand around his shirt a bit tighter and leaned over a bit to kiss him but your phone rang, "god damnit" you mumbled to yourself as you got off him and grabbed your phone and answered it,

"Hello?" you asked, somewhat irritated, sitting upon his lap, you moved against him slightly, he gripped your legs tighter and tried to get you to stop but you kept grinding against him, giggling as you watched him,

"hey baby its bert, look did you dye your hair black?" he asked,

"excuse me? yeah, ray dyed my hair, why?" you heard ray whine and shift underneath you,

"because I just noticed and I wasn't sure, it was driving me nuts. anyways why'd you do it? did you have a breakdown?" you groaned and rubbed your head, was this really necessary? especially right now?
