Ulysses S Grant: Hi I'm Ulyesses Grant. And I'm telling the story of The Lincoln Boys. When Abraham Lincoln was a congress man at one of his congress parties he meet Mary Todd. They got married then she was pregnant. On August 1 1843 Robert Todd Lincoln was born also know as Bob or Bobby. Abe helped Mary with the baby and enjoying his son. When Mary was tired Abe nursed and playing with Bobby he held a screaming Robert with arms length and pushed him around the block with a baby budgie. Shortly after his first birthday he took his first steps on the one floors of the Lincoln residents a few months later he said he's first world papa. When Abe come home Robert ran and hugged him. One day Abe heard a hard THUD he ran to the stairs and looked down and saw Bobby getting up on all fours from the floor unhurt but safely bewildered
Abe: the youngster had got into my boots and in them trying to walk around in them and had fallen down the stairs. the younger he got in my boot reaching clear up to his little body.
Ulysses S Grant: when Robert swallowed some lime Mary lost all control
Mary: BOBBY WILL DIE! BOBBY WILL DIE!
Ulysses S Grant: but Abe cleaned it out it was also easier for Robert to get into trouble and for the first time Abraham had to face having to discipline his son
Abe: he is quite smart enough sometimes I fear he is one of the rare rip sorts that are smarter at about then ever after that misfired as a girl rather of a long order Bob is short and law I expect always will be he talks very plainly almost as plainly as anybody
Ulysses S Grant: on March 10 1846 Edward Baker Lincoln was born also know as Eddie Abe's congress partner wanted to wring their little necks then Abe became a lawyer
