ye, i just randomly remembered this and thought, why not tell y'all about it

the first ✨sex scene✨ i witnessed and really processed i watched alone in like,,, 6th grade or sth

so
i'd just read pride and prejudice (in literally one go i think) and for some reason i really liked it

dunno, 'twas just a nice story

and i'd also watched the 2005 movie and i liked it! it was good!

so, we have this movie, mansfield park which is based off well, the book mansfield park which is also written by jane austen

and tbh i just didn't wanna buy and read the book first and just watch the movie

i thought i'd just be similar to the other one i watched

turns out this was a bad idea

bc ye, it do have a sex scene

i'm probably still mentally scarred

didn't help that i watched it alone and had to pretend to be ✨fine✨ afterwards

but ye, i think this would probably still be my reaction to sex scenes

especially on tv

for some reason i can read people making out and everything without a problem, sometimes smut too

but as soon as it's on a screen (especially real people)?

ew no get that away from me

like, you're kissing? on screen? how dare you, i'll skip the entire next 15 mins

oh also, this made me read emma (also by jane austen) first before i even looked in the movie's general direction

ngl, that one was a lot more boring

but i guess, a bit entertaining so ye!
