Daniel didn't leave Chloe's side for the entire day she had been back and it was driving her crazy. Apparently a sprained wrist was a big deal and she felt useless with the older one not allowing her to do anything alone.
On top of all of that the older one had convinced her they needed cousin time together in London before flying to Monaco and even though she pointed out all the reasons why they should stay inside, he still managed to bring her out.
For Chloe it was Daniel being purely annoying but her cousin had his reasons behind it and it was to help Lando Norris.
The two drivers knew that there was no way Chloe was going to willingly go to the British house and creating an excuse for a McLaren thing in there was useless since she would talk with other staff and they didn't want to involve more people in it.
Lando knew that it didn't matter what he did but that he needed to sort his speech out, he was calling a speech but it was just gather his thoughts to explain everything as well as point out all he felt. Hopefully that would help him have her back.
Worst case scenario he did tell his mom to be really to fly down and to Monaco because he would be needing her comfort. Both of them wished this wouldn't be needed.
Lando knew he was a disaster in the kitchen so after a long conversation with Jon they figured out the best way to do this cooking thing and it seemed like it was going to work out.
Pasta was her favorite food and it was the initial plan but since arriving in London all the blonde did was complain that she wanted to eat McNuggets. So, with that information being passed to London he also had a backup plan and McNuggets currently sat in the island of Daniel Ricciardo's apartment.
The British driver was calm, until he received the text he was anxious for the entire day. Daniel was finally warning him they were coming up on the street.
He knew after Daniel dropped her off and went to Michael's flat to have a boys night, Jon included, he was on his own and he couldn't back down cause he knew this night wasn't going smoothly as their past nights.
Chloe was relieved to be standing inside her apartment complex lift, for her that meant a few more minutes and she'd be laying down on her bed with pyjamas and watching some stupid tv show on Netflix just to make her sleep.
That's what she's been wishing for the entire day, somehow still being tired from her short trip.
Except, as soon as she entered the apartment and was faced with Lando she knew that was the last thing she was doing.
- Chloe - He said looking at her anxiously while she didn't show any emotion in her face, something he knew wasn't a good start
- Lando - She sighed placing her bag in the couch and removing her sneakers - Why are you here? And how the hell you got inside?
- First of all, how's your wrist? It got better? When do you need to go to the doctor again? I can take you. And also, Daniel gave me the key and I wanted to talk to you - He said and before she opened her mouth to speak he interrupted her - And I've tried and you avoided so I knew this was the best option
- Now you know how it feels - She muttered to herself but Lando heard and it only made him feel worst - My wrist is fine, just tired of everyone acting as if I was useless and I'm only going after Monaco or in there, not sure. - She explained quickly - What you wanted to talk?
- I fucked up, big time. - He said getting the main thought out of the way - I shouldn't have let them talk about you that way when I knew it wasn't true. I shouldn't have cancelled or plans and ignored you. I shouldn't have prioritised people because I was feeling guilty instead of who I really wanted to. Somehow in these confusion I fucked everything up big time - He rambled seeing Chloe furrow her eyebrows
- Slow down - She asked seating down after not understanding half of what he had just said
- I felt guilty some of my friends, if you can even call them that, was telling me that they barely saw me and I was giving you more attention than them while I saw you all the time. I didn't think it was with any bad intention and didn't link to the girls talking those things about you, which are not true and I shouldn't have stayed quiet. I only realised in Spain when Caroline mentioned something about you and your friends. Also seeing you with them was awful. I'm sorry. - He sighed seating in the opposite couch looking hopeful at you
- You didn't need to shut me down completely. - Chloe said looking at her hands before switching to his face - I would understand if you just told me "hey I want to spend time with my friends without you", I only kept going cause you asked. And I know what's like to have your friends far, you're still closer. - She finished her thoughts and he nodded
- I'm really fucking sorry - He placed his head on his hands and she nodded since she felt like he was being honest. - Can we come back to where we were? - He asked hopeful
- No. - She said abruptly and he felt like crying on the spot. - Lando you fucking hurt me. It may look like nothing but it was really bad for me, I had no one, not even the rest of the staff cause everyone was invited to everything except me.
- What? - He asked confused - You were always invited, they told me
- Never got any invite, no message, dm, nothing. - She shrugged and she could see Lando bawling his fists in a way of holding his anger
- Fucking dicks - He muttered and she chuckled to herself
- Look, we can try to go back, ok? But I can't just simply pretend like it was everything ok - She explained and he nodded with a smile
- I'll take it. - He smiled and she reciprocated the gesture - But, I have McNuggets and Pasta, your choice? - He asked hoping she wasn't going to kick him out
- I'm showering and changing, you warm the Nuggets up - She said rushing to her bedroom hearing him laugh
- NAILED IT? - He screamed at her
