The Heroine Is In Love With Me

I'm Confused

It was after school in a classroom.

   Mika and I were still excitedly talking about otome games.

   “I’m looking forward to it! Marshall Saki!”

   After I accepted her cosplay request, Mika was even more
   excited than usual.

   If she’s so happy, I can’t help but be happy, too.

   However, it would be even more fun if Mika cosplayed as the
   Heroine.

   Mika is somewhat like the Saint of Light, if she dressed up in
   sweet lolita style, she should look wonderful and cute. But if
   she does that, I wonder if I can keep my cool…

   As I was lost in my naughty thoughts, Mika made a fearless
   smile and said, “Fuh-fuh-fuh, by the way, Ms. Saki.”

   “… What’s up, friend?” I said dramatically, to try and throw
   off suspicion.

   “If you’re going to be the Marshall, Saki, I’d love to be the
   Heroine if you’ll let me…” Saki said.

   “What are you saying, I’d love to see that,” I said.

   … Oh, now I’ve done it.

   I’d replied without missing a beat….

   As expected, Mika is shocked by my instantaneous reply–

   “Then it’s settled! I’ll do my best to make my costume!”

   –And without hesitation and plenty of excitement, she said that
   in turn.

   Alright! Now I can see Mika in cute clothes! My photography
   skills aren’t great, but that’s where passion comes in to fill
   the gaps…

   “Marshall, it’s time to wake up.”

   And as I was dreaming about nostalgic things, I heard Jade’s
   voice.

   When I opened my eyes, Jade was bowing deeply. “Oh, I see,” I
   said. “Thank you as always, Jade.”

   “Thank you for your kind words,” Jade said with a smile on his
   face. “Well then, I’ll read aloud your afternoon schedule.”

   And now he’s going to recite the usual lines.

   “Yes, whenever you’re ready,” I said.

   “To start with…” Jade says as he pulls up my afternoon
   schedule.

   I already know what’s in it, so let’s get some more sleep now.
   I’m still drowsy because I’m too interested in what happened in
   my dreams.

   I’ve never dreamed of the original world but now it’s been the
   same thing two days in a row. The original world… or rather, my
   regrets involving Mika are too considerable.

   But I haven’t had those dreams until two days ago, so why…?

   “… And sometime soon, skilled carpenters will be coming here.”

   “… I see, I under… huh?” I said.

   Jade said a line more confusing than yesterday’s dream.

   Did he say, carpenters?

   “Why do we have professionals like that coming?” I asked.

   “As you’ll recall, yesterday the Saint of Light broke through
   the doors of this room with the power of love,” Jade said.

   “… I remember now,” I said.
