I'm Trying To Remember

Michaela was supposed to stay at my home, but she’s returned to
   the Light Faction’s HQ to practice the Ultimate Magic.

   “That’s why I have to go home right away,” Michaela said. “I’m
   sorry, Saki.”

   “Ah, I see,” I said. “If you already made plans, you can’t help
   it. Please come and visit again.”

   “… I will!” Michaela said.

   … Hmm?

   I feel like there was a short delay with that reply…

   “If The Saint Of Light Is Called By Her Beloved Marshall Of
   Darkness, She Will Immediately Rush To Her Even If She’s At The
   Bottom Of Hell!”

   “Woah?!” I cried. “Don’t suddenly jump at me while saying lines
   like a web novel’s title! Also, that hurts a little!”

   “Ehehehe, sorry about that!” Michaela said, playfully tapping
   her head and sticking out her tongue, acting innocent as usual.

   I thought she hesitated to reply but maybe it was all in my
   imagination…

   “Well then, Marshall of Darkness!” Lapis said. “We’re sorry for
   all this trouble!”

   “See you again, Saki!” Michaela said.

   “Ah, yeah,” I said. “Be careful when you head home you two,
   okay?”

   The Saint of Light and Lapis both gave small bows and left the
   room.

   Even so, it’s for Ultimate Magic training… in the game, the
   plot had the Ultimate Magic come into play at the event just
   before the ending. Umm, at least that’s the case for the
   Marshall of Darkness’s route…

   The Saint of Light is targeted by both the factions of Light
   and Dark and faces a desperate, inescapable crisis.

   The Marshall of Darkness comes to her rescue and survives the
   resulting conflict.

   The large army of the Light Faction is waiting for her even
   after they make their escape.

   The only way to get out of the crisis is to use the Ultimate
   Magic.

   When they start the chant, the Light Faction begins their
   attack.

   The battle begins there (which consists of just avoiding their
   barrages).

   If you fail, you start over before the battle.

   If you succeed, the Ultimate Magic chant will finish in a short
   time.

   Then, the attacking Light forces retreat and three options
   appear.

   The first option is to scream, “Kyaaa…?!”

   If you choose that, the Marshall of Darkness will shield the
   Saint of Light.

   The Marshall turns to look sternly at the Saint as she’s about
   to run up to her.

   The Marshall would tell her to continue the chant without her,
   and the Saint would do so while fighting back tears.

   Seeing that, the Marshall smiles as if she’s relieved.

   At the same time that she said, “I’m glad to have met you.”,
   the Ultimate Magic activates.

   The world turns white and after a while, it changes to the
   scene of the Saint’s room in the original world.
