I'll Be Retraining

It’s been a night since Michaela came to the castle and then
   left.

Once again, I’m doing my morning work like usual, took a nap
like usual, and was woken up by Jade like usual.

However, I didn’t dream of my original world today. Well, I
don’t want to see the scene of that day repeatedly, so I think
   this was a good thing.

“… In conclusion, Marshall, your training for the Ultimate
   Magic begins today,” Jade said.

“I see… huh? Ultimate Magic Training?” I asked.

Jade nodded his head with a stern expression. “Yes, Ultimate
Magic Training,” he said. “Yesterday, you were talking all
about it so I thought you wanted to learn it… was I mistaken?”

   “Ah… well, no, you’re not,” I said.

Right, if Michaela was trying to use the Ultimate Magic to
return us both to our original world, I said that I wanted to
   help her. Nevertheless…

   “I don’t meet the conditions, don’t I?” I asked.

Jade sighed audibly. “Goodness, are you really going on about
   this again?”

   “What’s with that disdainful expression?”

“Ah!” Jade cried. “N-No, forgive me! However, in response to
your claiming that you had no one who loved you mutually,
Marshall, I asked Lavender to investigate it again.”

   “And?” I asked.

“Yes, in conclusion, you and the Saint of Light must be in love
   with each other,” Jade said.

“Oh, is that so?” I asked.

“Yes, it’s already requited love,” Jade said.

Even if he says it, I don’t feel it is… oh, that’s right.

My and Michaela’s dates of birth must be extremely compatible
with each other, in terms of fortune-telling. That’s why
Lavender decided we were in love with each other. Yes, surely
   it’s this.

“Well, if that’s the case, let’s begin the Ultimate Magic
   training,” I said.

“Understood!” Jade said. “Oh, that’s right, for when you start
your training… I believe the present the Saint gave you will be
   useful.”

   “Present?” I asked.

   It’s funny, I shouldn’t have received a present… no, I wonder
if the door she fixed could be considered a gift, I guess?

However, can you train with a set of doors?

Perhaps you could tie it to my waist and I’d run while pulling
it… no, isn’t that being something of a fitness freak thing?

To be fair, both Lapis and Jade said that magic is more of a
matter of athletic ability and sports clubs…

“Right!” Jade said. “I’ve just received a letter from the Saint
   of Light.”

“Ah, I see. Is that so?” I said. “What a relief, it doesn’t
   look like a road roller…” [69]^1

“What’s this about a ‘road roller’?” Jade asked.

“Hmm, there’s a thing called a ‘road roller’… no, never mind.
   It’s nothing,” I said.

If we proceed as is, we’ll be stuck discussing road rollers for
a long time, so let’s get back to the main subject as soon as
   possible.
