I managed to pour out the tea despite Michaela trying to jump
on me whenever she had the chance.

Michaela took a sip from her cup and gave me a carefree smile.

“Yep, the black tea you brew is delicious, Saki!” Michaela
   said.

   “Really? That’s a relief,” I said.

“Strength, kindness, good looks, and great domestic skills,
   you’re perfect, Saki!”

“Ah, ahaha, thanks for that,” I said.

… Let’s keep quiet about Jade coming into the kitchen, giving
me a hard time about my cooking, and making me practice several
   times.

“By the way, Saki,” Michaela asked.

“Hmm? What’s wrong, Michaela?” I asked.

“What do you do when you’re not on the front lines?” Michaela
   asked.

“Umm, I head to our military HQ, check and approve documents,
and train, I guess,” I said.

“Hmm, is that so?” Michaela said. “You’re a pretty reliable
Marshall, aren’t you?” she said as she took another sip of tea
and kicked her legs in pleasure.
   "
   "

“It’s because I’m the No. 2 of the Dark Faction,” I said. “I’d
feel ashamed to face everyone else if I don’t do my job
   properly.”

“I see,” Michaela said. “You seem to be having a hard time,
   Saki.”

“Well, fortunately there aren’t any difficult-to-understand
documents or strategies, and training is fun,” I said.

“Hmm, hmm, is that how it is?” Michaela asked.

“Yes,” I said. “But, sometimes there’s so much pressure to
behave like a Marshall of Darkness.”

   “Pressure?” Michaela asked.

“Yeah, you see, the way I normally speak is quite different
from the way the Marshall of Darkness is supposed to talk, so
it’s hard to keep them from leaking out…”

“Ah, that’s right!” Michaela said. “Your formal voice was so
cute, Saki, it was like you were trying to look taller!”

… Yeah, I’m sure Michaela is complimenting me.

   Still, I can’t help but feel uncomfortable…

“Saki, are you alright?” Michaela asked. “Somehow, it looks
like I’ve found your diary full of poems?”

“D-Don’t worry about it!” I cried. “What do you do all the
   time, Michaela?”

“Huh, me? Oh, yeah…” Michaela said, crossing her arms and
tilting her head to the side.

“I do philanthropy work as the Saint of Light, I examine
information about you using Analysis Magic, I train to learn
the Ultimate Light Magic, I spy on what you’re doing with
Clairvoyance Magic, I persuade various higher-ups in the Light
Faction to pursue peace with the Dark Faction, and I try to
find out where you are with Perception Magic…”

“I see,” I said. “At any rate, I feel like you could have
become my stalker if you made a mistake.”

Michaela looks proud to hear it. “Fuh-fuh-fuh! The Saint Of
Light Has Incredible Magical Power, But She Has No Hesitations
Using It All For Her Beloved Marshall Of Darkness!”
