Lavender's POV

Napabalikwas ako sa higaan ko dahil sa sinag ng araw na diretsong tumatama sa mukha ko.

I badly wanted to sleep longer but then, I suddenly heard Yaya's footsteps outside my room. Kumatok ito ng ilang beses kaya kahit inaantok pa, ay bumangon narin ako.

"Shanaya? Anak, gising ka na ba? Com'on, get up there and have your breakfast na. Pasado alas nuwebe na ohh", rinig kong sabi nito.

Here we go again, my usual morning habits of getting up late and eating breakfast all alone.

Walang ibang kasama sa malaking mansiyon nato kundi ang mga maids at guards na hinire ng parents ko.

Yaya Minda knocks on the door for the second time dahilan para mapabuntong-hininga ako. She wouldn't stop banging the door as long as hindi ako sumasagot o magigising kaya napilitan narin akong magsalita.

"Just give me a minute Yaya, lalabas narin ako pagkatapos", mahinang saad ko at napaupo sa harap ng salamin bago sinimulang ayusin ang sarili.

"Just be quick there, okay? May naghihintay sayo sa baba", I heard she said before walking down the stairs.

My life isn't as perfect as other people believe. Even if I could have everything I want, it would be pointless.

Para akong nakakulong sa isang selda na kahit makalabas man ako...

My family isn't there waiting for me.

Since the day I was born, Yaya Minda has taken care of me despite the fact that I have a biological mother. Siya na ang umaasikaso at nag-aalaga sakin na dapat ang magulang ko ang gumagawa.

In fact, I'm living in this mansion without them by my side. It's not that they're busy, but because, they don't want people to know about me.

Ikinakahiya nila ako? No, that is not the reason. They only wanted to protect me from the syndicates that have been after us for years.

If they know that the famous businessman, Steve Leonard Falkoner, also has a daughter, I'll possibly be in danger right now.

Kuya has been kidnapped three times in his life and it's their doings. This would never have happened if Dad hasn't founded the MAKAYA GROUP, a company that bought hectares of land, forcing citizens to sell their properties which were then converted into establishments, buildings and other skyscrapers.

As far as I know, those syndicates were one of the victims who lost their homes because of Dad's projects, that's why, tinangkaan nila ang buhay ng kapatid ko.

Dad will always do everything just to get what he wants. Kahit labag sa kalooban ng mga taong may-ari ng lupa, he'll probably think of a solution with the help of money.

Kaya ang mga tao, wala ng ibang magawa kundi ang ipaubaya ang kanilang mga lupa sa ayaw at gusto nila.

If only I can stop him, hindi na sana kami nagkawatak-watak pang apat.

Matapos kong ayusin ang sarili ay lumabas narin ako pagkatapos. Pagdating ko sa baba, dumiretso agad ako sa Dining Area.

I remembered Yaya had said something earlier. Anong naghihintay sakin dito sa baba?

At dahil ayokong may maisip na kung anu-anong bagay ay agad kong hinanap si Yaya Minda para tanungin siya tungkol doon.

This time, I'm hoping it has nothing to do with Storm. I really wanted to forget everything about him, but how am I going to do that if he's always tailing me? Wherever I go, andiyan siya parati. Sa school at kahit dito sa bahay.
