GLISTENING DIAMONDS.
006. ❛ german museum date

TWO DAYS LATER, under the cover of darkness, the Black Cat lounged against the imposing walls of a Berlin museum, her sleek black suit fitting her like a second skin. Her piercing green eyes flickered with excitement as she discovered that inside the very museum she leaned against was a valuable painting by Anselm Kiefer.

If her research was correct, and it always was, the painting inside the museum was worth millions. To Diana, it was nothing short of a jackpot.

As the alarm on her phone rang softly, Diana knew it was time to put her plan into motion. She gracefully ascended the walls, utilizing her grappling rope to secure her position on the rooftop. With a mischievous grin, she expertly disabled the museum's security systems using her phone.

Securing the rope to her suit, Diana cast a quick glance at the other rooftops, her green eyes shining with adrenaline. Opening the hatch that led to the fifth floor, she skillfully lowered herself into the museum, her movements as quiet as a cat.

Standing on the floor, Diana unhooked the rope and paused momentarily. She opened a little pouch on her suit's belt and pulled out a small circular container of makeup powder. She opened the small circular container and checked herself out in the mirror for a bit before she bent down and blew some powder all around. Her lips curled into a self-satisfied smile as she watched the bright red lasers activate, a testament to the Germans' meticulousness.

Navigating the lasers with calculated precision, she made her way to the emergency exit staircase, narrowly avoiding detection. Gracefully leaping down, she landed in a crouched position on the main level. Consulting a small map, she confirmed that the desired exhibit was just beyond the door she now stood in front of.

The corner of her mouth twitched up into a smirk as she opened the door and once again blew some powder into the air, watching as it revealed the laser grid. A triumphant air surrounded her stature as she made her way toward the painting, her movements a seamless blend of stealth and confidence.

Arriving at the coveted artwork, Diana skillfully removed it from the wall and delicately rolled it up, securing it within a cylindrical container strapped to her back. Just as she closed the lid, her sharp senses caught a flicker in the lasers before they went out, and her eyes widened. She spun around to find Spider-Man frozen in his tracks; his own astonishment mirrored in his wide eyes.

Spider-Man had been tailing her, attempting to thwart her plans, but his inadvertent contact with a laser had triggered an alarming chain of events. "Uh," he drawled out awkwardly before blaring alarms shattered the silence. "Oops?"

Diana inhaled sharply as her eyes narrowed, frustration etching across her face as German officials stormed into the adjacent exhibit. She sprinted towards Spider-Man, grasping his gloved hand tightly, and propelled both of them forward, the sound of shouts and gunshots following closely behind.

"You fucking idiot! Do you have any idea what you've just done?!" Diana exclaimed at the boy, her voice a mix of anger and exasperation. She swiftly led him to the emergency staircase, utilizing her grappling hook to ascend to the fifth floor while Peter used his webs.

"Sorry! I was trying to stop you! None of this would have happened if you hadn't stolen that painting in the first place!" Peter retorted, motioning towards the painting securely fastened to Diana's back.
